> 3 dayInstalled 2 of these over the weekend. They look much better and neater than the Belkin wemo plugs they replaced. I have them working through Samsung Smartthings. These were very easy to install in the wall and have worked great. I plugged in the light in the bottom outlet, turned on the light and hit the button on the outlet and immediately it was picked up in my Smartthings app. Plan to purchase more.

> 3 dayAwesome for home automation projects - Alexa now able to turn on/off my under mount lights in the kitchen - The lights are currently the older halogen style and run very hot - Now they go on and off on schedule lowering the risk. Very happy Z-Wave using the Samsung SmartThing hub 2nd gen

Greater than one weekI would expect this device to last more than 24 months. The hassle of replacing it out weighs the cost. Not happy, expect more from a company as large as GE.

> 3 dayBought as an item in Very Good condition, stating that only cosmetic imperfections were present. Received the item with no cosmetic imperfections, yet missing the plate cover, instructions/manual, and the wire nuts were too small. Furthermore, I received the wrong model number - I received model #12721, not 14288. I needed the Z-Wave Plus feature. The one I received is the older Z-Wave feature. So, this item acts as a Z-Wave repeater/extender. Seems to have fixed my signal issue to my furthest device away. But for some reason, it wont repeat a signal from a device 3 times as close... probably due to having the wrong model number.

> 3 dayI replaced nearly 20 outles in my house with these and the smart switches. They worked wonderfully for awhile, but then about a year and some change in two of them just died. You could hear the little solenoid inside clicking constantly. Now several more years later and I have had to replace all of them. These things are terrible. DO NOT BUY. Several of them died after power failures from the electric company. When the power came back on, they were just clicking. Several of them died while not even in use. Most of my outlets are completely unused, so the failures are not attributable to anything even being plugged in at the time of failure.

> 3 dayIve got about a dozen of these 55256 receptacles in my business. Every single one has failed at least once, and I just finished replacing three more that failed as of last week. (08/10/21) These 55256 receptacles last about 1 year before they internal relay fails and they start randomly clicking and fail to respond to Zwave commands. E-mail sent to GE/Jasco about replacement of failed outlets is never answered. Over the last 5 years I have collected enough of these failed 55256 Z-Wave Plus Smart Receptacles to fill a standard pillowcase halfway, and that will come in handy should I ever encounter a Jasco IoT engineer in the real world. If youre given the choice between buying a 55256 receptacle and hitting yourself in the hand with a brick. Find a nice brick.

> 3 dayIm still using Zwave since I have tons of devices on Zwave. This is definitely much improved as the pairing along with the app is simpler. No more trying to the smartthings developer mode too with new app. I like many of the new features. I can see wifi will be the norm as that is much longer range and no more mesh type network like the zwave. However, like I said, for now Im sticking with zwave and this device sure is much improved and who knows it might still be around.

> 3 dayIt was working fine for 4 years. Then after a utility outage the device is offline and dead. The non-switched outlet works but the switched outlet is now un-powered. So Im going to have to replace it. Ive read about the fragility of these devices in reviews here and in forums elsewhere. Consider this a warning: its not going to last forever, maybe not even a few years. Is this something you want to hardwire into your home?
