> 3 dayI replaced an older Smarthome technology with this unit. It has the added benefit that off means off. Ive had issues with some smart on/off modules where they leak current when ostensibly off. Thats a real problem if the load is an LED light as they will glow at a low level. In a bedroom thats no bueno as it disturbs my sleep. This unit is fast and when off leaks no power. Very happy!

> 3 dayReceptacle is doing low-level buzzing noise in the On state, like a cheap phone charger. Competitors dont have such an issue having almost identical price. I dont recommend to use Enbrighten 55256 anywhere at residential due to the buzzing noise.

> 3 dayI have gotten into Smart Technology early on and have been fortunate to try many different switching devices. These GE products have always been/are the closest to what you are replacing, come with White and Almond decorative covers. They connect easily, are reliable and you can get them at Lowes AND Amazon close y to the same price now. Sometimes a bit cheaper on Amazon.. I use with Samsung Smarthings Hub and Echo (for voice control)....

Greater than one weekAwesome for home automation projects - Alexa now able to turn on/off my under mount lights in the kitchen - The lights are currently the older halogen style and run very hot - Now they go on and off on schedule lowering the risk. Very happy Z-Wave using the Samsung SmartThing hub 2nd gen

Greater than one weekI’m a DIY’er and I prefer to follow same methods as electricians do which is to not use the push in method, and instead wrap the wire around the screws in the proper direction and secure that way. I was unable to do so and almost appears that the screws do not serve any purpose other than tightening after wire is pushed into holes. I’m sure it is fine, but I prefer the traditional way. And even if you could, you’d have to tilt it on its side. Hard to explain. I don’t think the GE engineers ever installed an outlet. As for performance, I have it connected to my Smart Things hub along with many other devices and this keeps unsyncing. I bought it specifically for where the Christmas tree always goes. I’ll return after Xmas and buy the Lutron or Leviton one instead.

Greater than one weekThis outlet works great! I love using it. and I know it will do what I need it to do. It was easy to setup once it was install. this is a true Outlet that needs to be installed in the wall.

> 3 dayStrangely, I have to turn these on , then off, then on again in order for them to turn on power. They incorrectly show power on the first time. This leaves me with low confidence for remote operation. They were easy to install and integrate with my Ring Alarm system (z-wave), but don’t give me the accurate status or confidence.

Greater than one weekI bought two of these. Both are dead a few years later. Difficult to install because they are so large. Very bad value.

Greater than one weekAlthough a bit expensive, this zwave plug is easy to install and pairs quickly with the Hubitat zwave hub. Works great.

> 3 dayHave about 10 of these now. Works well with Smarthings. Just have one very far from the hub that does like like the Zwave Mesh network when trying to update the mesh it says something like cannot update but it still works so who cares. Recommend as a Zwave device for any smart system.
