I love this lunchbox. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because in the pictures, it shows a black handle. so I assumed it would come with a black handle and carry strap. It came with a white handle and carry strap which are going to be hard for a construction worker to keep clean looking.

My favorite all around truck and job cooler combo mini job box.

I bought this for my husband who is a carpenter and is constantly on construction sites. It is very durable and easy to clean up once he gets home.

This cooler doubles as a dry box so keep that in mind. If you’re wanting to maximize insulation and ice longevity this may not be you best choice. I did a test with a similar sized Igloo brand (16qt) with this Engel (19qt). The Igloo is about half the cost. The Igloo has thicker sides and this a bit more insulation. In three different test using frozen water bottles of the same capacity, the bottles in the Engel fully thawed before the bottles in the Igloo. Same environment and temperatures with coolers side by side. It wasn’t dramatic, just the bottles in the Igloo had some ice left 1-3 hours after the bottles in the Engel were fully thawed. That was a little disappointing. Having said that, the frozen bottles in both lasted almost 36 hours and I expect the cooler filled with ice would hold longer than a couple loose frozen bottles with all the space around them. I’m going to keep the cooler because it is well made and I can use it for a dry box. I bought it for day trips in my small boat so it will work well for that. Would also be great for day trips to the beach, overnight trips, picnics etc when you don’t want to lug a large heavy cooler. But if that’s all you need and if you just want a cooler, save some money and get a much cheaper Igloo 16qt. as you gain nothing and lose something buying the Engel including twice the cost. I gave four stars for well built.

Strong enough as a seat as well!

Love everything about this box. I use it as a lunch box and it works out perfectly. I have no regrets making this purchase.

Decent cooler for $60.00 I can see the plastic hinges being an issue if you open or close the lid with some force. I wanted an inexpensive cooler for my boat and I think this one will do nicely. I like the metal locking tabs and the tray its a nice addition.

Bigger than I thought but my husband doesnt seem to mind the size. This size would be too big for a small fridge. So I recommend ice packs. BUT, will definitely buy again - but I see this cooler lasting forever so probably wont need to buy another! Haha

I love this cooler for my lunchbox. Im a tradesman and it works perfectly for everyday use and its a great seat, you know job sites can be hard to find a seat lol. The 19qt is a little bit big, but it holds my name-brand SS tumbler mug when Im done with my coffee, and on the weekends it holds glass bottle too, the 13qt does not fit either!! Plus I dont have to make sure food is put in the right size containers, if the wife put leftovers in the oversized plastic container because every thing else was dirty, dont matter, throw it, because it fits. I used to have a specific container for my old igl o o lunchbox. Dont care now. And for that, Im ok with the size, its not ridiculus, and the shoulder strap is great, even when Im wearing my winter gear for work. Hope that ridiculous rant helped lol
