Greater than one weekI needed a good overnight cooler to hold a few drinks, bait for fishing, snacks and this cooler performed great! Its light weight, strudy enough to hike down a small cliff area and holds the ice to the next day.

> 3 dayTheres no question that this 19qt. Engel keeps things cooler for longer than our Igloo Playmate. Thats no surprise, given that the Playmate has no insulation (its not even double walled in the lid), and no proper seal on the lid either. So the rubber seal on the lid on the Engel is a welcome plus. On the other hand, its not completely clear to me that the Engel has any insulation between its walls either (the double walls in the sides and lid can flex inward quite a bit), and it remains to be seen if the Engel will last as long (20 years, I think) as our Playmate.

> 3 dayThis is hands down one of the worst coolers I’ve ever owned. I got suckered into buying it based off of the reviews, so I’m adding my own. 1. The cooler is made with cheap materials. The plastic is flimsy and I don’t see this lasting all that long. I thought I was buying something that was going to last a long time. I feel like the handle and strap guides are going to break rather fast. Also feel like it won’t take much for the plastic body to crack. 2. I don’t know what insulation was used, but apparently it doesn’t work. The cooler is so bad that it sweats in the heat. If I leave it sitting anywhere, there will be a puddle of water underneath it. Ice lasts maybe one 8-hour day if I’m lucky. It’s so bad that I’m wondering if I have a defective unit and the maker forgot to put in any insulation in the walls at all. 3. For the price point, I’d have been far better off going to any big box store and buying an igloo or something similar. This was expensive to be a below-average cooler. The only thing I can even remotely compare it to is a playmate cooler. Those things last about the same length of time, and the lids on those have absolutely no insulation and don’t even have a moderate seal.

> 3 dayI purchased 2 of these to give to apprentices. Love these boxes and would absolutely buy another if I could figure out how to wear out the one Ive been using 6-7 days a week on construction sites all over the country. Plenty of storage and keeps you food hot or cold. Im 61 240#s and have no problem sitting on this box to eat. Engel coolers are quality and I expect them to last quite a while. I just wish they made more of them in the USA. Side note, do yourself a favor and buy an extra storage tray, I use one for utensils and condiments and the other as a basic junk drawer at work, keys, wallet, phone, pens note pads and all that...
