> 3 dayThis is a good cooler if youre looking for a lunch box to take back and forth to work. It will keep things cold for about a day. It holds two levels of 12 standard beer cans, or a case. The handle seems pretty durable. Ive only been using it for about a month now though. It comes with a nylon strap that can be very helpful. The front metal latching system is very quick and easy to use when you want to open and close the cooler a lot. This was one of the reasons I bought it. If you are looking for a cooler about this size to keep things iced or really cold for more than a day I would go with an RTIC or YETI. The coolers with the zippers are a huge pain I have found. They do keep things very cold for very long though. I dont think this cooler is worth the $60. I would be a lot happier if it was $10-$20 less.

> 3 dayThe size and appearance and ability to keep ice in perfect condition for 24 hours or more was more than I expected.

Greater than one weekI purchased this cooler to keep things cold for a few hours while traveling, but I was pleasantly surprised by how long it it retained ice. I tried it for the first time on a day when the high was just over 90 degrees. I loaded it with a chilled twelve pack. Unfortunately, the ice I bought that day had just been bagged and placed in a freezer, so it was wet and melting quickly on the short ride home. There was already a significant amount of water in the ice bag when I poured the ice in the cooler, so I figured it wouldnt last more than 6 or 8 hours even though it was in the shade. However, after opening and closing the cooler throughout the afternoon as well as a few times the next morning to see if it was still cold, it still had ice in it after 17 hours. With colder ice, I have no doubt the ice would have lasted close to 24 hours. If youre thinking this will hold ice as long as a Yeti 20-quart, it wont. This is a 5.5-pound cooler vs the Yeti that weighs in at about 15 pounds. Yeti designs their cooler to do one thing; hold ice for as long as possible. The Engel 19-quart is designed to be compact, lightweight and retain ice for a reasonable amount of time -- all of which were considerations for me. So, if you need your ice to last for days, buy a heavy-duty, roto-molded model. If you need a small, lightweight, high-quality cooler for day-use, this is the cooler for you.

> 3 dayHaven’t had this cooler very long but it’s neat to have something sturdy and light that’ll hold your lunch, drinks, snacks, and many more! Looking forward to getting great use out of it. Plus super fast shipping!

> 3 dayVery well built and it suits my needs, but its not the super-cooler I was expecting. I will say that, of all the coolers Ive owned in this size range, it is easily the best Ive owned. A sack of ice melts in about 12 hours, BUT... that meltwater stayed very cold for three full days. Its well designed and easy to carry. No idea how it compares to a Yeti, because I refuse to spend that kind of money on a cooler (Yetis ball caps alone are $30 and that stinks of marketing hype), but for the price, this is a really great little ice chest. It gets my recommendation.

> 3 dayDecent cooler for $60.00 I can see the plastic hinges being an issue if you open or close the lid with some force. I wanted an inexpensive cooler for my boat and I think this one will do nicely. I like the metal locking tabs and the tray its a nice addition.

> 3 dayI like the fact that the lid has a gasket and positive latches, to keep stuff out and in.(due to the fact I work in the 48217 zip code most of the time.) The outer shell seems fairly strong as I have dropped it a couple of times and it has not cracked yet. The insulation seems to be better people say. As well I’m in Michigan and thank god not Texas. So it keeps stuff cold enough for 12hr shifts. I normally pack one ice pack in the summer, 2-3)34fl Fiji waters 2)16floz energy drinks of some type (all beverages are kept standing) under the tray I put the ice pack, snacks, sandwiches or whet ever I’m bringing that day. I have been happy with it. Seems to get the job done well.

> 3 dayMy mother-in-law bought this for my husband and he’s very happy. It’s very sturdy and easy to clean. It’s large enough to fit Tupperware glass dishes and a small chunk of water.
