Purchased the EVL-4 to replace an EVL-3 that took a surge from lightening. Installation is easy and works very good. Great product!

This device was so easy to hookup. I was shocked. I made my old hard worded system smart and web enabled. I love it. I also was able to tie this into Home Assistant for automation. This put new life to my alarm system. Highly recommend.

The product was working fine for about a month then randomly shorted out and now I get no power to the unit.

This was a great addition to my Vista 20p security panel. Configuring and setting it up takes some time and effort. If you’re in the home security business, its probably a no brainer, but if you are DIY homeowner the programming and setup is a bit tricky. Instructions available on Internet provided from link in inbox instructions will get you through the setup and config. You will also need programming instructions for your security panel to get your panel configured for this device. Once complete you can arm/disarm your system and get notifications through your smart phone. The Eyezon website that works with this device out of the box is pretty basic in my opinion. I would recommend setting up Home Assistant to work with it to give you greater flexibility.

A little background about myself. I’m very good with hardwiring etc and decent with computer knowledge. The install was easy from a hardware perspective, but the programming and instructions are horrible. If you don’t have basic understanding of how alarms work etc. it will be a very high learning curve. The functionality of app, and website are not intuitive. But once you get it up and running it seems to work. FYI - I have a Honeywell vista 10p. Every system is different in terms of programming.
