> 3 dayI install/service/inspect fire/security systems and was looking for a self-monitoring solution for my Vista 21IP panel I have installed at home. This module was not only easy to install but the app works well on my android phone.

> 3 dayI used to pay a monthly fee to ADT for monitoring and access to ADT Pulse that allowed me to automatically arm and disarm the security system on a daily schedule. I was looking for monthly savings in our budget and decided to cancel ADT monitoring and install the EyezOn Envisalink EVL-4EZR IP Security Interface Module and self monitor my security system. It has been installed for 2 months now and its the best decision Ive made in quite some time. I’ll keep the rest of this review short and only share pertinent information that has not been shared in other reviews. Install went great and when I had a small issue with the programing of the system, I reached out to EyezOn support and they quickly help fix the programming error. Here’s the part some might like to know. Yes, the EyesOn App is old and antiquated, but it works to arm, disarm, look at sensor statuses, etc., but you can’t set a schedule to arm and disarm your system as I was used to using ADT Pulse. Since I was so used to having the system arm itself every night, I kept forgetting to arm it manually since I installed the Evnvisalink. I kept researching and found out that Alexa has the EyezOn skill, so I enabled the skill through my Alexa App. The integration is awesome and so far I’ve discovered that you can set a routine to arm your system everyday at a specific time. I only created one routine because I want it to arm at the same time everyday, but you can create multiple routines to accommodate your schedule. However, unlike ADT Pulse, you can not set a routine to disarm your system because Alexa will ask for your Voice Code in order to disarm. I can live with that because all you have to do in the morning before opening any doors is ask Alexa to disarm your system from any of your Alexa devices in the house. She will ask for your voice code, your reply and the system disarms. You can even ask Alexa the status of your system from your phone when you’re out of the house and she will tell you. You can even set routines for Alexa to inform you if any of the smoke alarms, glass break sensors, or and contact for the matter is opened. Seamless, integration for all contacts in your security system. FYI Arming Routine command created in the Alexa App: 1. Alexa, arm “name you assigned your security system” to stay mode. Just make sure you don’t name your security system “Alarm” because it will confuse Alexa to think it’s an Alarm to wake you up or remind you of something at a specific time. 2. Disarming voice command with any of your Alexa devices: Alexa, disarm “name”……. She will ask, What is your Voice Code? ….. Give voice code and she will disarm.

> 3 dayReceived Evl 4 as scheduled and was installed in the Honeywell security panel that day. Logiged in and configured the board. Powered up the system and to my surprise, I was able to view alarm status and arm/disarm the system via a Envisalinks web page. Also, added a mobile link to my iPhone which permitted a remote access. Fantastic product. Easy to install and to use. Next, integrate with ST with Rpi3.

Greater than one weekFunctional module, but the customer support is rude, condescending, and utterly unhelpful. The promised Envisalerts feature was nonfunctional for a day or two after installing. I inquired with their customer service for support, but they only responded with one sentence answers like read the FAQ and check your spam folder. Pathetic troubleshooting and customer relations skills. Unacceptable. After a few days, the email alerts started magically working... but no valid excuse/explanation from the company. One of the main reasons I bought this module was to monitor zone activity via email alerts. Well, they crudely limit this feature by only allowing you to monitor a single zone. What is this, the 1990s? Complaining about excessive traffic on your servers is a lame excuse this day in age. Overall, this looks product looks like a C-rate hobbyist figured out how to emulate a control panel and wrapped a half-baked buggy service around the product. I wouldnt be surprised if that back end was powered by something silly like WordPress.

> 3 dayOMG, never realized that this board would do so much for us. In addition to its own great software for managing your alarm it is easily integrated into Home Assistant. In the past we never remembered to turn the alarm on, or too tired at night to do so. With this board and home assistant our alarm, arms itself every night and turns off in the morning. Beautiful ! Also, ALL your sensors become usable with Home Assistant, I now use one of the alarm motion sensors to turn on a lamp early in the morning when I wake up during the week. You can also use all binary contacts for any thing you can automate. Doors, windows, etc. For the small price it brings your old Alarm unit into present day. Oh and one other thing I did, We use the chime feature of our alarm for the doors because we have little ones and want to know if they open a door, but want it off at night. Was easy to set up a script in Home assistant to toggle this off and on everyday.

17-04-2025If you have a DSC alarm panel this is a quick easy way to get internet access and control. Connect the four wires to you DSC panel, plug in your ethernet cable, and set up a free account (I found the UI to be pretty good). 10 minutes to hook it up, 20 minutes to set the contacts and options in the account, run some tests, done. Could not get any easier. I had been looking for a way to upgrade my old technology alarm, and I found it. Online access, text and email alerts. My only real complaint is that the text alerts come from different phone numbers, it would be nice if they would always come from the same number, but Eyeson cannot control that as they send the alerts from an email address and AT&T assigns the from number, so just the way it is.

Greater than one weekGreat product! It was relatively easy to install. If you arent handy with technology you may find installation a bit difficult. I love how easy it is to arm and disarm with my phone.
