EyezOn Envisalink EVL-4EZR IP Security Interface Module for DSC and Honeywell (Ademco) Security Systems, Compatible with Alexa

I recently purchased a home with an existing security system from ADT, including a DSC main panel. I didnt really want to pay ADTs exorbitant monthly fee, so I started looking for a way to self-monitor the system. This is the only solution I could find that didnt involve a monthly fee, so I bought it. Installing the add-on module was not very difficult, though I did need to supply my own wire. Luckily my system had some unused wires sitting in the box. After it was installed and connected to my router, activating the module on Envisalinks site was easy. I then went through all the zones and named them, named all of the users, and set up sms alerts. I then tested the alerts, and they worked as expected. My only complaint, and the reason Im giving four stars instead of five, is that the web interface isnt really all that great. Its functional, but certainly not attractive. Also, they do not have any apps for Android or iOS. They do have a mobile version of the web site, which is probably better than the full desktop version, but native apps would still be better.

The product arrived on time and as expected. Setup on a DSC alarm panel was simple and literally took less than 10 minutes start to finish. As long as you follow the included directions or look up more in-depth instructions from someone else setting their system up there should be no problems. Ive been up and running for several days now and tested the system on both the local network and remotely and it works as advertised. I set up mine to send both SMS and email alerts with certain activities and the alerts have come in within seconds. I have also remotely enabled and disabled my alarm without any problems too. I am pleased with the purchase so far. As long as it lasts I think it will be well worth the savings in the future to not pay someone else to monitor my system. It will pay for itself within 6 months given the latest ADT special rate we were quoted of $15/mo that would go back up to $43/after 6 months. Another week of testing and its goodbye ADT.

I can totally control, monitor, and receive notifications from my vista 20p panel from anywhere with this bad boy board. Very happy with the purchase. Hardware install was very straightforward however I had 2 errors on the Eyez-On website initially due to the need to assign a keypad address to the EVL-4. Once I assigned the keypad address and refreshed the their website i was only left with one error(#29) which per the manual on their website was a network communication error as I had to give permission to the panel to let the EVL-4 communicate with my internet connection by inputting the codes provided in the manual specific for my 20p. FYI it also had instructions for other brands that had error 29 like DSC and a couple others.

When everyone at ATD told me it was not possible to use my Vista system via my iPhone this was the solutions. Great product

Great product! It was relatively easy to install. If you arent handy with technology you may find installation a bit difficult. I love how easy it is to arm and disarm with my phone.

The EVL-4 is a great addition to a Vista 20P for self monitoring and arming and disarming your alarm system with no fees. The free mobile app allows this from virtually anywhere you are. It mounts inside the alarm panel (push connectors supplied). On Vista panels, you will have to drill 3 small holes on panel side for mounting. You wont have to drill on DSC panels. Connect to the alarm circuit board with 4 supplied wires. Connect ethernet cable (not supplied) to your Wi-Fi router. It is a pretty simple installation. Works Great!... and as advertised. Delivery was quick. I am very satisfied, and highly recommend this product.

Works OK with the Honeywell Vista 20P, but seriously needs to add Z-Wave compatibility for a complete system.

Works as intended. Support is great. Emails answered on the weekend! I use this device to connect to Home Automation system and not using their web control or monitoring. Board is small so I could fit it right inside the Honeywell IP communicator enclosure and piggy back to 4 wires with power and data line from GSM board.. Sits now right next to router without anything hanging by wires, clean and neat.
