> 3 dayI purchased an Eyez-On Envisalink EVL-4EZR IP Security Interface Module for DSC and Honeywell in March. The product arrived and I had it installed professionally at the end of April. IT worked ok for about 3 months and then a few weeks ago my DSC keypad suddenly stopped working and showed a keybus error. I called my alarm installer to check it and he said that the envisalink module was shorting the main and sub-panel. It was draining the voltage from 12 to 4.5. As soon as he removed the module the voltage went back to 12 but by then it had blown my main alarm panel and one sub panel which had to be replaced. I tried tp take it up with the seller but the seller refused to assist me and told me to take it up with eyez-on. Very bad service.

> 3 dayI was really impressed with the ease of installing this board, the included wires and clips, as well as detailed instructions made it easy. I decided not to lay cable from my router to the device, and just used a mobile Huawei modem/router, that was lying about unused, for internet. I had a small capacity data sim that I was not using, and plonked this into the mobile modem. So no additional cost. And everything just worked first time. I managed to get the installer code for my DSC Power864, and tweaked the setup a bit for optimal use. I now have full monitoring and control on my mobile phone, and can see what is going on at home, and can monitor/bypass/arm/disarm the alarm system from anywhere Highly recommended.

Greater than one weekGreat product. Lost one star since I got a used one marked as new since I had to contact Eyezon to reset it since someone had activated it.

29-11-2024It does exactly what I needed. I can now read sensors from my alarm system for home automation. It’s been perfectly reliable and was read only easy to setup. The web interface is dated, but I don’t really use it, so that wasn’t too big of a deal for me.

> 3 dayInstalled in an existing Vista 20P panel. When I moved in, the previous owners had the alarm panel connected on a land line to ADT. The panel appeared to be professionally installed. Since I do not have a land line I was stuck. Installation of the EV4 was easy, just connect to the same buss as the existing 6160 keypad (and other buss devices)terminals 4,5,6 & 7. I did have to install an Altronix SMP3 aux power supply/charger and a second 40va 16.5AC transformer. The Vista 20P board is limited to 600ma and the key pads would shut down when the alarm was armed. My system is pretty loaded with bus devices and probably should have already had an aux power supply installed. The EV-4 draws 70ma about 10% of the max 600ma Vista 20-P board limit and that was enough to overload the 20-P. You can find numourous alarm geek chats regarding this 600ma issue and what to do about it. I elected to run the two keypads to the aux power because in the event of a power failure I can disarm the panel from my phone. Everything else including the EV-4 is battery bracked up from the 20-P onboard battery connections. An aux power supply requires a separate battery which I do not intend on adding. We’ll see how that goes. Anyway, I just followed the instructions creating an Eyezon account, connecting the EV-4 to the panel, router, set settings on the EV-4 IP address and performed simple programming verification steps (downloaded from Eyez-on) at the existing alarm 6160 keypad. the EV-4 communicated with the mothership and in no time I had my zone names loaded in. After setting up my user information on the web, the EV-4 was communicating with Eyez-on and they were texting me zone that opened that I had set up and chosen to notify me. The App has most of the functions but you can’t set up user information or zone names. No problem with settings on the web. The App will allow you to see the status of all of your zones in a numbers grid that dithers text ant box colors over time from red to black indicating inactive for a few hours. You can also arm and disarm the panel from the App. For now I will go central station monitor-less and enjoy No Monthly Fees!

> 3 dayIm very impressed with this communicator. We did a lot of research before purchasing and thought this would work great for us. Our first unit did not work properly but customer service was excellent. I ended up buying a second one and returning the first one. I Installed it in approx 15 minutes (Im a working mom to three kids so I dont have much time). Very important, make sure you disconnect all power, including the battery back up that is connected to the alarm. Then follow the exact directions: set up account, register device @ eyezon website, wait 10 minutes, plug in device as indicated on video with the four red black white and green cables ( eyezon website), then plug to the Internet via the Ethernet port, then power up and CHARAN!!!! Lights will turn on the envisalink. All the lights will turn on to show unit is properly connected. You will be able to name your zones, get notifications, even see which doors were open and at what time. Arm and disarm from your phone or computer! This is amazing and there is no monthly fee. Cant wait to hook up cameras and temperature controllers to this little unit. I leave for work knowing exactly what is going on. Honestly impressed!

> 3 dayVery easy to install - the mounting holes and provided plastic standoffs even match the existing holes in my DSC Alarm System case and there was an existing hole in the case immediately above the Ethernet connector on the Envisalink board that allowed the Ethernet cable to be routed straight into the case and plugged into the board. I just mounted and wired it per the instruction sheet and reconnected the AC power and battery and it immediately started working. The short story is that it’s a great product. The only downside is that the IOS Ap looks like it was made for an IPhone 1. I don’t understand why they haven’t updated the Ap to keep up with the the improvements in phone technology. The Ap seems to work fine. It’s just the appearance that’s deficient. To get the most out of the Envisalink you’ll need to go to their web portal and sign in to your account to define the names of each zone in in your alarm system in order to see the “plain English” definitions of your alarm zones on your phone or tablet. Otherwise, you’ll just see “Zone 1, Zone 2” etc. Overall, I recommend this product to anyone wishing to upgrade their DSC alarm system.

> 3 dayThought my trusty Vista 20P was obsolete but the EnvisaLink 4 made it smartphone modern, and it did so cheap and relatively easy. Amazing upgrade. My old, elegantly wired alarm system worked like a champ with all it’s sensors and followers, it was bullet proof but lacked easy connectivity while I was on the road. Dreaded having to replace my Vista 20P, or worse yet scrap the whole system and replace it with a rinky-dink wi-fi system. Then one day while in another state I received an email from a neighbor that my house alarm was going off. And there was nothing I could do. Went to Amazon checking on options for new systems and stumbled upon EnvisaLink 4. OMG, that was exactly what I needed, and it was so inexpensive. So, I got it, installed it, and now my alarm system is at my fingertips anywhere in the world. Installation was easy, just follow EyezOn’s detailed and clear instructions. To round out my 21’st century security system I purchased and installed a few inexpensive Wyze Cam v3s that I monitor using the Wyze app. Couldn’t be simpler.
