This product works great and make us feel more secure about being gone when the house looks like there is still someone at home.

Works great. My wife and kids hate it. It comes on when the lights go off. Does look like someone watching TV late into the night when you view from outside the house. The wife and kids tell me all the time that they hate the flickering light. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because when the lights come on in the room it does not stop flickering like it is supposed to do. I have to manually turn it off.

OK, will it deter the truly savy thief who spends hours watching your house? Maybe, maybe not. But it does make the house look as though a TV is running, so the opportunistic thief will probably take a pass. I think I will probably use it with a timer though, so it can come on for a half hour or so in the early morning to mimic my routine of turning on the TV to check for freeway backups before I start out for work. Would be nice if future models had manual timer feature. UPDATE: It stopped working after a couple months. For the price it should have lasted much longer, but it looked good while it lasted.

I compared the look fro the street of my living room with the TV on, and with this device turned on. It looks the same. Burglars arent likely to come to a house if they think someones home watching TV. No home security measure guarantees safety, but this one will greatly lower your risk.

Works like a charm. As advertised looks like a TV is on from outside. The timer works as described.

Mines been on 24/7 since June of 2019. I bought another for a family member. It looks real at night from outside the house and I would buy it again. What I do: Put a lamp on a timer in front of the window the Fake TV shines through. Whenever the lamp is on the TV is not visible (in my case) from outside the house. I think this makes occupancy more convincing than just a TV.

This little thing really does work and when my husband is out of town I turn on the dusk + 7 hours setting to make it look as if he is home watching TV while I go to work at night. It really does come on at dusk (not when its pitch black like another reviewer indicated) and I can have a light on in the kitchen while it is on in the living room (there is a 10 foot wall in between the two rooms, otherwise the rooms are open to each other). My only complaint is that it simulates a 40 LCD and I would like it to simulate a 60 or 70 LCD. I would recommend this to others and I would buy it again. UPDATE - After using fake TV a couple times and having it set on the dusk + 7 hours position, I noticed that one or two of the small lights will remain lit up after it was supposed to be off. It will only turn off when I turn it to the off position. Not sure why this happens but it isnt going to affect my raiting.
