Highly recommend. My parents also ordered one after seeing mine in action. Ive been on vacation, and had someone call me to ask if I was home. He was walking passed my house & saw the TV on, and wondered if I was back in town. So, its definitely effective.

Needed to see this out of a second floor window - the lights were not bright enough to see from the outside of the house.

It does look like a TV from outside and the dusk to dawn setting is sensitive enough that it comes on after a couple minutes after shutting lights out. I imagine burglar crews are aware of these and know what to look for but it might deter the random passerby with bad intentions.

Bought this for my fiancee who lives alone. Works as advertised.

I bought this to mimic our 50 TV for when we are sleeping. We are having neighbor issues (yep, that classy, christian type of neighbor who is passive aggressive..lucky us). This fake TV is just one of a few methods we have adopted in an effort to deter them. I just got it last night, plugged it into a kitchen outlet and turned lights off while comparing it to the appearance of the real 50 TV flashing in the next room. I was pleasantly surprised! Not only is it bright enough, the colors are pretty accurate and the pauses, dims and fast changes would fool anyone. I plugged it into the family room and turned off the TV and went outside. It looked just like our TV when on. I would recommend you have objects on either side or the bright little light box may be seen but other than that, i would give this two thumbs up! Impressed my husband too. Now its only been one night of use and I havent tried the dusk to dawn feature yet but if it lasts, it is worth buying IMO. If problems occur, I will update.

It is a good product but I have used it only few times, dont ask me why? It does what it is supposed to but light have same pattern over and over. I knew it when I bought it.
