I did not like any of the programs I tried to watch. PBS is almost as good as on a TV with a screen.

Stopped working after 2 weeks

I try to do a lot of things around the house to make my wife feel better about being home alone when I have to work nights, this I did to make ME feel better! It really is a convincing fake and does a good job convincing people that someone is home. I hate leaving lights on around the house, so at ~1watt measured with a kill-a-watt, this is WAY better than leaving a real TV on. Also real TVs cannot be used on a lamp timer, they will power on but not turn the screen on. FakeTV can be used on a timer in addition to its built in photocell/timer. I bought this instead of the standard version, that might not have been necessary though. I use it in an upstairs window so nobody walking by can tell its not actually a TV, I can see it all the way down the block at night! I dim it down by closing the mini blinds a bit, sheer curtains might work even better. Buy a couple and give them to family members!

I absolutely love this! It really does look like a TV is on from the outside and is a nice inexpensive way to provide intruder deterrent. And all you do is plug it in! Worth every penny!

We all had a good laugh that this is the HD version. But is does work as advertised. I accidentally left it on one night in the living room and from the bedroom I wondered who left the TV on? A small, ingenious idea.
