> 3 dayGreat device for making rider aware of vehicles coming up from behind before you can see or hear the vehicle. Worth every dollar is it saves my life even one from someone rear ending me on my bike. Only negative is that its a bit larger than would like it to be.

> 3 dayEveryone Riding Roads Should Have This! Picks Up Everything Including Faster Cyclists. I’ve Never Had A False Positive. First Few Times I Used Radar, I Thought I Was Getting Some False Positives. Come To Find Out, It Was Cars Turning Onto Another Road. Great Little Device.

Greater than one weekBought this from Amazon in June, 2021. It is now December, 2021, and Im convinced this is the greatest safety investment Ive made for my bike riding. I was skeptical but decided it was worth a try - I had ran into a rider in 2020 who had one and he loved it. This device syncs perfectly with my Samsung phone and my Edge 810. The sound when a vehicle approaches from behind is loud and my Samsung momentarily quiets my music to make the signal more noticeable even when Im in the zone on a low-traffic rural road. This warning gives me a few seconds to adjust since the radar works for approximately 450 feet in the rear. I highly recommend this for your own safety. The only downside and its not a big deal at all is that at the larger organized rides such as the Little Rock, AR Big Dam Bridge Ride it sounds the alarm when a group of riders approach. Again, a very minor nuisance for safety and it assures me that the radar is working. I realize that an accident is only a few feet away from we riders at any given time but I firmly believe this enhances my odds for a safe ride. I have recommended this to all my local riding friends and have no hesitation in recommending to any road rider.

> 3 dayFor a long time I avoided riding on the road because I didn’t want to become a hood ornament for a distracted driver. I mostly stuck to mountain biking but I really didn’t ride that much which was a huge bummer. Then I went for a ride with a buddy who had the older version of this and raved about it. Now I’m that guy who raves about it.

> 3 dayThe Varia RVR315 is excellent. You can mount it upside down, right side up, sideways anyway, as long as its pointing behind you and theres no radar proof obstacle between it and the vehicles its meant to warn you about. I use a solid mount made for quick release on the seat post, and have used it mounted on the rear of a rack when needed (as the trunk bag used on the top of the rack would prevent its use). It charges up surprisingly quick and the charge lasted me from 6-8 hours of use. Connecting it to my Garmin Edge 1030 plus was straight forward, quick and easy.

> 3 dayIf you ride anywhere other than a densely populated city center like NYC or LA or Chicago... this thing is a real game changer. I have no idea how I rode for some 15 years before getting this. I started using it last summer and I honestly cant believe more people dont rant and rave about them... I dont think it has EVER missed a car behind me. Sure you get some false positives from time to time but NOTHING has ever snuck up on me in thousands of miles of riding now. This is one of the best bike related purchases Ive ever made. BUT, do make sure to keep it on flashing mode, not just solidly ON mode.

> 3 dayWorth Every Penny. I highly recommend Varia RLT515. I’m new to toad riding and have been using a mirror for a few months. That’s helped a lot with not having to look over my shoulder - which causes me to swerve into the road... but it’s still hard to see cars in the mirror, especially if their headlights aren’t on. This picks up vehicles in plenty of time - and will notify how many. I absolutely love it. The light is very bright also. If they asked for a recommendation for an improvement, I’d ask for a built in camera with it... but that’s being picky I guess. Three other people I ride with just got one of these as well - they all love it too. Hope this helps!

> 3 dayThe Garmin Varia is something I wont leave without now. The alerts are mostly precise, and in my latest group ride everyone was so surprised with how quickly I was able to call out vehicles coming up on us. My only grip is mostly that I have a hard time getting it installed since my bike is smaller and most of the seatpost is taken by my small saddle bag. I WAS able to use the flat mount, and cross two of the mounting rubber rings to get it installed directly on the saddle bag, but its not always able to point directly back like its supposed to that way. Slightly pointed down sometimes it starts beeping things that arent there (likely my own back wheel?) idk. But as far as I can tell, its never missed anything and the awareness is whats most valuable to me.
