> 24 hourI have been trying to find a smart plug for nearly six months, but kept running onto the issue of them only working with the 2.4 routers. This one I just plugged in and Alexa actually acknowledged it, no damn apps, no third party Chinese Spyware to download.

> 24 hourI have two of these smart plugs and a smart switch The app is incredibly difficult to use and therefore the smart plugs and smart switch are difficult to set up. furthermore these smart devices spontaneously drop their connection to my local network requiring me to laboriously set them up again. After hours of frustration, I reinstalled mechanical timers.

> 24 hourCurrently I have three of these running to shut off some strip outlets full of those not needed while gone electronics. Works great to shut down the whole set of adapters and power use both as needed with the button on the plug, using my phone, Alexa or on a programmed schedule. Definitely handy in lowering my electric usage.

> 24 hourApp is easy enough to use or it can be turned on/off by google alexa whatever. Its desynced a few times and needed to be fully reset before resuming use though which was really annoying when it was tucked behind my christmas tree. Otherwise its nice that its not ticking away all day like an oldschool light timer

> 24 hourI was doing some smart plug shopping looking for the right one for me and I think this nailed it. I am not experience in the smart plug market, but I know I am super satisfied with this purchase because it is a very cheap option and it responds extremely fast with Alexa. This does not offer any power usage data, which I am disappointed about but I am still very satisfied with what it does with the price point. The top things I love about it is that it dose not require the GE app to set up, the Alexa app recognized it, almost immediately after plugging it in, which was very easy to set up and the smart plugs response almost immediately to Alexa, which I like. I don’t really think you can go wrong with this price point.

> 24 hourI bought one of these to replace a manual timer that is in a difficult place to set if the power goes out. . This is so simple to setup and use I plan to get another one for Christmas lights. I have already added one to the under cabinet lights in my kitchen along with a wireless switch for turning all the lights on or off with one button.

> 24 hourI read all the bad reviews but figured it’s GE, they should be ok. Nope. Have three of these things for about 5 months now. If the plugs are supposed to be on and the power goes out for a second, when the power comes back on, the switches stay off. So if you have, let’s say, an aquarium that needs the pump to be on and the power goes off for a split second, the pump will remain off until you go in the app and turn it back on, or the next day when it’s supposed to turn on again. One of the switches just died after a power outage. I don’t recommend these at all. They’re supposed to save you not ruin you. These smart switches are not so smart after all.
