needed an extra remote for a car. went with the manufactures original equipment. not that much more expensive and would be fully warranted/reputable...guaranteed to work. read the directions and 10 minutes and had it set up and project done. thanks for helping me avoid a trip to the store.

Our home has an older Genie opener model that used a one-button remote (see picture for manual, old remote & new remote). The only annoying part of this process was getting the lens cover off of the opener itself to press the Learn Code button (it had 2 screws at the top of the cover, which were kind of hard to reach). Other than that, reprogramming this remote was so simple! Instructions were clear and it worked on the first try. My wife, who typically parks her car in the garage, is VERY happy.

I bought this remote for a second car. This remote was easy to program, although I had issues with my original remote reprogramming when the new one was activated. After 2-3 restarts it worked out fine. Not sure why I had the problem. I’ve had this remote a few months now with no issues from either remote.

Purchased a new vehicle that does not have a built in garage door remote. Used this for 2 older Genie Intellicode openers. Very easy to program and it is compact. The buttons are very sensitive and you can accidentally open a door at 2am when dead asleep. Daughter left it in here purse on her bed and rolled over touching the purse and one door opened setting off the burglar alarm. Weapons in hand searching for an intruder. What a way to wake up. Other than that, good remote.

I bought 2 of these for my Genie Excelarator Model #ISD995 screw type garage door opener. It is well over 7 years old. I had the big 3 button remotes that came with the unit which were OK but when riding my motorcycle a bit bulky. I can carry this remote on my keychain and it works flawlessly. No accidental garage door openings in the middle of the night as the old black style keychain remotes. The rubber buttons take a little more effort hich is why these work better and will not accidentally open you garage as you leave or sit down with the remote in your pocket. Tip 1, when you push the learn button push it for only 1 second. If you push and hold it for 10 seconds like I did, you will wipe out the momory of your outside wall mounted remote unit and that one is a bit tricky to program. Tip 2,To program this unit under review, open the light cover on your overhead unit, locate and push the learn button for one second and observe the flashing LED on your overhead unit. Push the remote key once, LED Goes solid, and then press the same remote control button again, your done. Its that simple. I really like this little unit, have one in both cars.

has increased my quality of life!! no more dealing with the anxious risk leaving the car in the driveway unlocked running to save gas as i go running through the house to close the garage. And so easy to set up xD. choice of the keychain or visor clip makes it easy to hang from my lanyard or in my safe or of course the visor until i get home .just be sure not to fall asleep with the remote if you chose to put it on your keysring

This remote was exactly what I was wanting. Following the included directions, it was extremely easy to program. It works very well up to a distance of about 30. I often carry one in my shirt pocket and it hasnt inadvertently gone off. I use this remote to control one garage door, but like that this can control up to three door if I need to do so in the future. I highly recommend this 3 button garage door opener by Genie.
