I know this is going to seem way out there but everytime my roommate uses her remote control my TV switches on to Mexican News and my fillings start to vibrate. I dont know what kind of battery theyre using. Strong remote control.

My son had this synced with our garage door opener in 5 minutes. Works great with our 5 year old Genie.

This replaced my dinosaur garage door remote and was easy peasey to program following the easy peasey directions. It works fine; it also has sufficient range for me, connecting with the door opener while I am driving up to the house. The visor clip goes on easily. The unit itself is very compact, much smaller than the rectangular dinosaur I was using. It works like a charm.

has increased my quality of life!! no more dealing with the anxious risk leaving the car in the driveway unlocked running to save gas as i go running through the house to close the garage. And so easy to set up xD. choice of the keychain or visor clip makes it easy to hang from my lanyard or in my safe or of course the visor until i get home .just be sure not to fall asleep with the remote if you chose to put it on your keysring

It was easy pairing/programming with our garage door. Bought 2 now. All of them work perfectly.

nice item, very easy to program even on an older door. I knocked off 1 star, because while the device itself is small the buttons are very bulky and stick out slightly beyond the device, causing them to be pressed by accident sometimes.

I ordered this from a third party, 365 Garage Door Parts and they were great. The shipping was as fast as Amazon prime and the cost (with shipping) was still less then Home Depot (about 33% less). The remote programmed fairly easily. I have 3 Overhead Door Legacy openers so I had to switch the remote to Intellicode 1. I found the instructions right here in Amazon reviews: hold each button for 10 seconds or more. A small red LED light will come on with the small green LED light in the remote. I pressed the Learn Code button on the opener and pressed the remote button 3 times. The 3rd time opened the door. Done. Some people have stated that it is not so convenient to hold each of the 3 buttons for 10 seconds or more, but I think this makes it more versatile if you have a mix of Intellicode 1 and 2 openers that you need to operate. HOWEVER... The transmit range of the remote is between 20 to 25 feet. And that is from the opener. I had to stand within 10 to 15 feet of the garage door to make it open. And even at that range it didnt work all the time. It seems that if I point the remote at the opener I have better results, but not past 15 feet. Therefore you need to be right at the garage door for it to open. Not acceptable at all. I usually walk out the garage to my truck in the morning and close the door from the truck. I cant even do that with this remote. I did replace the CR2032 battery with a new one and no difference. I have older remotes that I am trying to replace and they work at a greater distance. This remote could be great but its not. Its not even worth buying. Unless I can modify it with an internal antenna, I will probably send it back. UPDATE: Feb 23, 2014 After researching how to increase the range I learned that the biggest factor is the opener antenna. First, make sure it is as straight as possible. They are usually just a wire hanging out the back of the opener. Then try orienting the antenna different ways. I tried straight down at first then angled it differently. Think about the old-fashion rabbit ears TV antennas. You need to find the best angle to get the best reception. I tried a few different ways and discovered that the best reception was when the antenna was angled mostly down and towards the road (where I would be operating the remote from). I increased the range from 20 feet to probably 70. At least I can open the doors from the end of my driveway. I still expected a little more range, but now the remote is acceptable and I will keep it.
