> 3 dayI bought this monitor because my older HP monitor was not able to match my new laptop screen colors, etc. After some adjustments, this one got close enough for me to trust it with publishing images online. On day two I woke up my system from sleep mode and the screen was about 50% darker all over with the exception of a normal brightness circle just right and lower of the center. I ran a number of tests for computers, ports, cables, etc., and I was able to get it to repeat the issue more than once. It only happened waking from sleep mode. Turn the monitor offon, or reboot, and it was ok. But not worth paying for. I submitted a return request wanting to get a replacement, but amazon would not allow that. One of a few return rules is that you cannot do an exchange for the same item. So I took a refund. When I tried to purchase it again, the price had suddenly gone from about $165 to $230. I texted support on this and was told that it was a different 3rd party seller now and they could not do anything about it. I was told to take the monitor only (no cables or box) to a Kohls store in town. I was sent a QR code to show them. A slight inconvenience (as opposed to pickup at the house) but it was quick and easy. They scanned the code on my phone and took it. Lesson learned on ordering from amazon now - and Ive been ordering since 1999. I ended up going to the Dell site. I found a monitor there that I liked. It was 1440 res, so a little more money, (about $300 total - with free shipping), but its nice and so far no issues. It also arrived days ahead of Dells estimate. Just a word to the wise on amazons return policy.

> 3 dayHello this monitor has worked extremely well, however after just a few months of using it the screen started to dade black and now it is completely unusable. I have used monitors for years before without something like this happening.

> 3 dayThe product description says it will have a display port cable, but i did not receive it. I bought two monitors and both did not have the display port cable. The description is incorrect, if they did not intend to give the display port cable

Greater than one weekHP needs to impose better EMI standards. I had to put ferrite chokes on both the power and video leads to reduce electromagnetic emissions from this monitor.

> 3 dayIt’s a really good monitor. I use it for a mini PC and it spits out pretty good images I like that it has a speaker so you don’t have to buy separate speakers.

> 3 dayHP support is less than useful despite having 7 more months on the warranty. HP help online chat slow and will ask you if you had plugged the monitor into the wall. The staff will quickly determine that there is no problem with the monitor as long as the monitor can be turned on. No attempt to even consider that the HDMI port in the monitor is not working well, despite already being told that the colours are jumping around and sometimes screen goes off when moving the monitor. This took 50 minutes. The staff will then request you contact HP smart friend, which, unfortunately is the department for software issues. So they cannot help too, which is another 10 minutes of back and forth on what the issue is. The software staff will then request you call the warranty department. 1 issue with screen but routed to three departments. Please just DO NOT purchase HP products if you value customer support and product quality. I have gone through the frustrations, you dont need to. Just get Dell, I have not had any issues with my 3 year-old Dell in the office.

Greater than one weekUPDATE: I have purchased four of these units for the office. I am now being told by AMZ that I can not purchase any more due to imposed limits. I have been waiting months (15 days plus two years) to be able to update our office with replacement monitors. Now that staff is coming back to work I have hit another roadblock. Now I have to find another model/brand. Good thing I didnt promise more 27 units to others. Very Disappointed. Original review: We have been purchasing the HP 24mh monitors as replacements around the office, and I came across these HP M27ha models which are essentially just a 27 versions for the same price. The only downfall for both models is the lack of extra USB ports like you find on higher end units, but we can work around that. My folks are please with the extra real estate.
