I am not a heavy monitor user. In fact, I have two home computers and this monitor failed at ten months with light use, on average less than half an hour per day. The backlights went out with the exception of one group at the bottom of the screen. I have a warranty replacement coming but only after over an hour of wasteful troubleshooting with an offshore agent over logmein. And the warranty isnt fun- you have to wait for a shipping box, then you send it back and go WITHOUT A MONITOR until they determine what you sent really is broken and decide if they will send you a replacement. Not impressed. I wouldnt buy this again. Update: Mindy Pollard posted an earlier review with pictures; they show the identical problem to what I experienced. The replacement monitor finally arrived- I went two weeks without a monitor thanks to this issue. I dont perceive this model to be reliable, which is disappointing. I used HP monitors at work for years with zero issues.

The monitors are great. They are large and clear. I use them for working at home. No gaming or anything else like that. They were the best price for this size monitor.

The product description says it will have a display port cable, but i did not receive it. I bought two monitors and both did not have the display port cable. The description is incorrect, if they did not intend to give the display port cable

Picture quality good. speakers do not work via HDMI. Went to the sound app and tested them and was able to generate tones for balancing, but the speakers will not play music or voice audio from websites or CDs.

I now have a setup with 2 of these monitors after buying one and finding the picture good for what I wanted. Lets just say this: a static picture on these monitors is good. There are some artifacts and ghosting of fast moving images, which is expected from low price monitors. The black levels are good, could be better. I had to enable full range in the display drivers to get deeper blacks. The sound is surprisingly good for speakers placed in the back. No, it is not as good as front speakers, if you have a curtain behind the monitor the sound will get a bit muffled. If it had some holes in the front for mid/high frequencies it could have been 5 stars. I might end up attaching an old sound bar with some double tape. One thing I hate about the sound is the lack of controls. Yes you can adjust from the system/keyboard, but having buttons/knobs you can adjust on the monitor is pretty basic. You have to go into menu to adjust volume, even when customizing shortcuts it is 2 button presses before you can change volume. The brightness of the screen is very even. There is some bleeding of light on the edges with dark screens but its not too bad. One very good feature is the stand. It can be adjusted in all directions. This should basic on all monitors, but for some reason many manufacturers believe old books should still be put to use. Overall not a bad choice with a limited budget. You may also consider looking into 1440 resolutions at this screen size if your eyes are good - but for most this will be just fine.

I bought this monitor because my older HP monitor was not able to match my new laptop screen colors, etc. After some adjustments, this one got close enough for me to trust it with publishing images online. On day two I woke up my system from sleep mode and the screen was about 50% darker all over with the exception of a normal brightness circle just right and lower of the center. I ran a number of tests for computers, ports, cables, etc., and I was able to get it to repeat the issue more than once. It only happened waking from sleep mode. Turn the monitor offon, or reboot, and it was ok. But not worth paying for. I submitted a return request wanting to get a replacement, but amazon would not allow that. One of a few return rules is that you cannot do an exchange for the same item. So I took a refund. When I tried to purchase it again, the price had suddenly gone from about $165 to $230. I texted support on this and was told that it was a different 3rd party seller now and they could not do anything about it. I was told to take the monitor only (no cables or box) to a Kohls store in town. I was sent a QR code to show them. A slight inconvenience (as opposed to pickup at the house) but it was quick and easy. They scanned the code on my phone and took it. Lesson learned on ordering from amazon now - and Ive been ordering since 1999. I ended up going to the Dell site. I found a monitor there that I liked. It was 1440 res, so a little more money, (about $300 total - with free shipping), but its nice and so far no issues. It also arrived days ahead of Dells estimate. Just a word to the wise on amazons return policy.

The monitor looks a little thicker than I had imagined, but it feels solid. I liked that it came with the cover for the vesa mount bracket on the back of the monitor. Im not mounting it, so it covers the screw holes nicely. I had no intention on using the speakers in this since most monitor speakers are terrible. I was pleasantly surprised when I tested it out. They actually sound great for meetings, I can hear everyone perfectly through it. The display itself had a nice slim bezel. Its vertically adjustable which is nice for those of us who are using them as a second monitor with a laptop. For what Im using it for Im happy with it, especially given the price point. (~$135 when I bought it).

For around $170 the monitor is decent. The bezels are fairly small which makes the screen look more modern. It comes with both a DP cord and HDMI cord. It’s not great for gaming since it’s only 60hz and only 1080p which is kind of low for a 27 in monitor but it makes sense for the price. There is slight edge light bleed when viewing dark images, not sure if it’s only a problem with my specific item. Comes with built in speakers which is not terrible but not great either, definitely not for high quality music listening. It’s alright for casual users.

The HP M27ha FHD Monitor is an affordable option for those looking for a great work from home setup. The optimized screen offers crisp pictures on a full HD display with ultra-wide viewing angles. You can stare at the 27-inch monitor all day since HP Low Blue Light software filters blue light without leaving the yellow tint. The comfortability continues as you adjust your computer monitor’s height or pivot to your liking and use the VESA mounting compatibility to find the right position in your home office. You will finally achieve your multimedia setup as you enjoy convenient audio built into the display and utilize HDMI, DisplayPort™, and VGA ports.
