> 3 dayI pulled this out of the box and set it up. I found the packaging to be cheaply done. Also the basic setup and layout was not good. The connections are on the bottom and not the back and after getting the base on I had to find a flat place to lay it down to see where my connections were. THEN, I could find the power switch. Turns our there is a round button on the back that LOOKed like power but is actually the settings button. I did not feel the button on the bottom right where I expected it to be. It was there but I missed it. So, in short I spent 15 minutes getting angry that it wouldnt turn on. The instructions are a joke (as is expected these days). But there was not a word of English anywhere. And the graphic / image instructions say nothing about the power button or the brighness, contrast (settings) button on the back. Well, its on now and look good. But the ramp up which should have been an easy 5 minutes was much longer.

> 3 dayThe picture is fine but who on earth thought that putting speakers on the back of a monitor was a good idea? The sound is barely audible and I am having no luck finding a way to connect external speakers. Soon I will have to have my windows open and it will be impossible to hear anything at all. And of course if you have a job, HP support is nearly impossible to contact. I regret buying this monitor. UPDATE: No more HP for me. barely 90 days since I ordered it and its dead the picture will not stay on. I left it off overnight and it woke up nicely but the second I moved it, back to black. This is a disgrace to HP and, since it is next to impossible to reach HPs customer service, theres nothing to be done. Good way to rip off customers, HP and amazon.

> 3 dayThe monitor was a bit larger than I expected, but no issues installing it on my computer desk. The set up was super easy - plug and play - so I was up and running in no time. My computer had to register the device for some reason, so I had to reboot my system while the monitor was plugged into the laptop docking station, but once the laptop rebooted, the big screen came to life! Great color quality for everyday work use. No complaints.

> 3 dayThis is a really good and clear monitor. I ordered it to use at work to make all my stuff bigger than the ones they supply us. I am almost blind and can see so much clearer on this on. HP never gets it wrong with me!

> 3 dayThe thin bezels and the matte finish are really nice. The speakers were a major bummer. The monitor either doesnt have good speakers, or there are no good drivers for mac. The audio quality is very bad (almost like playing audio on 16kbps bitrate) - especially, the base can not be heard at all. The sounds are damp like listening to them on an old 1970s radio player. Id definitely not recommend for tasks like watching movie, or playing games with the monitors speakers.

> 3 dayI bought this monitor because my older HP monitor was not able to match my new laptop screen colors, etc. After some adjustments, this one got close enough for me to trust it with publishing images online. On day two I woke up my system from sleep mode and the screen was about 50% darker all over with the exception of a normal brightness circle just right and lower of the center. I ran a number of tests for computers, ports, cables, etc., and I was able to get it to repeat the issue more than once. It only happened waking from sleep mode. Turn the monitor offon, or reboot, and it was ok. But not worth paying for. I submitted a return request wanting to get a replacement, but amazon would not allow that. One of a few return rules is that you cannot do an exchange for the same item. So I took a refund. When I tried to purchase it again, the price had suddenly gone from about $165 to $230. I texted support on this and was told that it was a different 3rd party seller now and they could not do anything about it. I was told to take the monitor only (no cables or box) to a Kohls store in town. I was sent a QR code to show them. A slight inconvenience (as opposed to pickup at the house) but it was quick and easy. They scanned the code on my phone and took it. Lesson learned on ordering from amazon now - and Ive been ordering since 1999. I ended up going to the Dell site. I found a monitor there that I liked. It was 1440 res, so a little more money, (about $300 total - with free shipping), but its nice and so far no issues. It also arrived days ahead of Dells estimate. Just a word to the wise on amazons return policy.

> 3 dayGreat monitor for your average computer user. Has some up and down motion as well as tilting. Good picture and packaged nicely.

Greater than one weekI was initially worried about getting a monitor for less than $200. But so far this is great. Simple buttons make it easy to use compared to the 27” monitor this replaced. The picture quality it fine but I just use it for work, no gaming. I can tell the slight difference in image crispness on my adjacent HP monitor that costs about $100 more, but I am satisfied with this cheaper one.
