This isnt a good screw punch. but it was cheap and lasted through one class. I knew that it it was a risk being a fraction of the price of a good one.

Thought this would work better. Does not cut clean. You have to press hard to make sure it cuts. Does not like layers.

I bought this because I am trying to create booklets using a coil binding spine. The punch did not work consistently on basic copy paper. I tried to punch through three sheets of copy paper at once; I placed three sheets of copy paper on top of a piece of cardboard over a cutting mat. I also tried this with one sheet of paper at a time. Many of my punch attempts did not give a clean punch and I had to repunch the same hole multiple times. The packaging is in Japanese. I used Google Translate to read the packaging, to try to figure out if I was doing something incorrectly. In the translation (if its correct), it says the tool is not intended for thin paper. If thats the case, then this tool is not what I need, unfortunately, and it would explain why I was not able to successfully punch holes in paper.

I bought this punch to make holes in text weight and cover weight paper for bookmaking. I returned it for a refund because it did not punch through even one sheet of paper without repeated punchings that inevitably became out of line with one another. When it finally did punch a hole, the paper got stuck in the bit, so I had to take it apart and dig out the paper bits with a paper clip. If there are special instructions for any of this, I cannot know because all the writing is in Japanese. I can read five languages, including Chinese, but Japanese is not in my repertoire! I cannot recommend this product.

It works but probably needs to be oiled. It is very difficult to push down and leaves small bits of brass metal shavings on my work.

I have owned other punches before and this time, since it was for my classroom, I bought price. It shows. It takes a lot to push through multiple levels of paper and needs constant cleaning to be effective. Punching through cereal box cardboard took a lot of effort. This is good for a few sheets of paper, but if youre doing real binding, buy quality instead of price. My students are excited about their books, but my personal one is so much better.

It works... barley. It moves rough, even with WD40. The punches themselves arent really sharp. Do yourself a favor and get a good quality one.

When it works properly on fabric/vinyl, it is great and you can punch a bunch of holes. Most of the time, it doesnt completely punch the hole and cleaning out the tip doesnt usually help. It is like the metal parts arent fitting completely and it grinds when you punch. Makes it hard work.

I found this difficult to use.
