> 3 dayI have not used one of these before. AND the instructions were in Chinese - ha! I figured it out tho, but when I push down, it doesnt move. I have to screw it first to get it to move, and by the time it did a few holes I had a very sore hand and wrist. I will probably return it. NOT RECOMMENDED. By the way, it is not a Japanese hole punch, it is made in China. Buyer beware.

> 3 dayThis was recommended by an acquaintance. Was a little skeptical at first but works better than expected. Easy to use and multiple hole sizes. Will punch through several layers of vinyl, foam, stabilizer at a time. Great quality.

> 3 dayWhen it works properly on fabric/vinyl, it is great and you can punch a bunch of holes. Most of the time, it doesnt completely punch the hole and cleaning out the tip doesnt usually help. It is like the metal parts arent fitting completely and it grinds when you punch. Makes it hard work.

> 3 dayIf you use more than few times in row and didnt grease it up then it will get stuck in the handle, unable to come back out once you finish screw punch through. so I need to order new one, will be getting different brand. Had enough of this handle issues

> 3 dayI have owned other punches before and this time, since it was for my classroom, I bought price. It shows. It takes a lot to push through multiple levels of paper and needs constant cleaning to be effective. Punching through cereal box cardboard took a lot of effort. This is good for a few sheets of paper, but if youre doing real binding, buy quality instead of price. My students are excited about their books, but my personal one is so much better.

> 3 dayI was a little skeptical at first, but it will work its way through several layers of vinyl and fabric. When it arrived, it didnt work very well because it was stiff and a bit sticky. A light shot of WD40 fixed that and it works like a charm!

14-04-2025You get what you pay for with this. I don’t leave reviews often, but was not happy with this product. The metal ring around the handle falls off. It doesn’t seem to be glued of fastened by anything other than friction. The punch tips don’t fit easily and don’t screw down. They also get tightly clogged after a couple punches. I’d return it but it’s not worth the effort.
