> 3 dayIt works... barley. It moves rough, even with WD40. The punches themselves arent really sharp. Do yourself a favor and get a good quality one.

> 3 dayI bought this punch to make holes in text weight and cover weight paper for bookmaking. I returned it for a refund because it did not punch through even one sheet of paper without repeated punchings that inevitably became out of line with one another. When it finally did punch a hole, the paper got stuck in the bit, so I had to take it apart and dig out the paper bits with a paper clip. If there are special instructions for any of this, I cannot know because all the writing is in Japanese. I can read five languages, including Chinese, but Japanese is not in my repertoire! I cannot recommend this product.

> 3 dayWhen you push it down instead of a smooth action it jams part way down and if I do get it right down it doesnt return without manually pulling it out. I put a smear of grease in the spiral track but it didnt improve the action. Maybe this is the reason it will only cut through 2 sheets of paper so it has no hope of going through card stock. Terrible purchase.

> 3 dayI’ve had this tool for several months and have not had to use it until recently. The first time I used it the ring that attached to the wood fell off and the hole punch part came out!! No matter how tight I tight them, neither will stay in. Too late to send for a return.

> 3 dayIts tough to punch through many layers of vinyl for bag making. Its also tough to see where youre punching with some of the hand punches or big presses. This went through multiple layers with ease and I could see exactly where i was putting the hole. And you can put the hole anywhere! Youre not restricted by the length of your press. It is a bit of a learning curve to have the punch do the rotation when pressing down and that is critical. Practice on a cutting mat without material a couple of times to get the feel. I used my self heal sewing matt and it didnt seem to damage it at all. I dont use this for paper. I know paper dulls things quickly so thats probably the reason for some of the lower reviews. For fabric its great.

> 3 dayUnfortunately I did not try this out quickly before the warranty ran out or return date. The first time I used it the center area thats supposed to rotate on the spring broke or jammed. It just went up inside the wood handle it and wouldnt come out. Tried everything to fix it. Total junk Definitely avoid.

> 3 dayI have owned other punches before and this time, since it was for my classroom, I bought price. It shows. It takes a lot to push through multiple levels of paper and needs constant cleaning to be effective. Punching through cereal box cardboard took a lot of effort. This is good for a few sheets of paper, but if youre doing real binding, buy quality instead of price. My students are excited about their books, but my personal one is so much better.
