> 3 dayArrived with a dent in the bottom, even though the package was unmarred. That tells me it was probably shipped already damaged. Other than that it seems like it will work well, although the handle to open the valve is harder to hold open than I thought it would be. I refuse to ever spend another dollar on those cheap plastic cans that make you press the nozzle down against the tank opening to start the fuel flow. This system is leak proof and imminently more sturdy and secure than the plastic alternative. I use similar cans (http://www.amazon.com/Eagle-UI-50-FS-Galvanized-Gasoline-Capacity/dp/B00004Y75M/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1417295006&sr=8-5&keywords=fuel+can) for all my 2 cycle and 4 cycle gasoline requirements as well. 12/30/2014 I wanted to add that after the first couple of uses, I like it even more and decided to raise it from 4 stars to 5. To refuel my tractor, I have to climb up and over the front end loader, which is a very precarious position to be that far off the ground. I found that with this can, I can lay it down on the edge of the hood, and as long as I can shape the nozzle to fit in the tank, I can pour fuel without spilling a drop. even upside down, the can holds the fuel in and remains leak free. All I have to do is tug the handle to start the fuel flow, and if I or the can slip, release the handle, and even if I drop it all the way to the ground, will not spill a drop. Definitely worth the purchase price!

> 3 dayAs the HSEQ Director for a large crane company, I decided it was time for a serious upgrade from the old frustrating to operate plastic gas cans to these professional grade cans. Very impressive durability and ease of use.

> 3 dayI am a big fan of these gas cans and have two already. Added the green to the collection to make the gas and oil mix easy to identify. A pricey gas can no doubt but hands down better than any plastic contraption that you get from the big box stores. Doesnt leak and dispenses with ease. Great for filling lawn equipment, ATV, and any other tools requiring gas. Works particularly well on small mouth tanks like weed whackers without dumping gas everywhere. Once you have one youll never go back to the plastic garbage that either doesnt dispense or gets gas everywhere.

> 3 dayI have bought so many plastic gas cans and most fail within a year or two. The are not cheap. I got sick of replacing them and went back to the basics and got a metal can. I love it! Yes, it is an investment upfront, but this can will last YEARS. The plastic cans expand and contract so much during the hot summers and this constant movement weakens the seams on the plastic and then they leak. That will not happen with this new metal can!

> 3 dayI was a bit concerned by some of the reviews but have had zero issues with the filler cap or filling the can. I am not sure what people are comparing it against when they dislike it. This is as solid as my old USA made eagle can and is perfect for my old tractor and truck with the 1 nozzle. I used this to replace an old jerry can that rusted through but bought this instead of the new NATO ones that seem to be junk.

> 3 dayWhat was thinking carrying a plastic can full of a highly flammable liquid right over the exhaust system in my pickup? I had a plastic gas can expand in the heat and then split at the seams in the bed of my truck, scary. Anyway this can is solidly built and has all the features that are required to enter the highly regulated I work in. Looks like something that will last a lifetime!

Greater than one weekIs an excellent gas can. Wish the nozzle was longer, because when you tip up to fill, can was hitting Jeep light and I couldnt get all the gas out. So used a funnel and filled.

> 3 dayIf you read the reviews, some people say these cans are not good for Diesel storage, but NO ONE explains how long the storage period is that makes them bad. If you store Gas or Diesel I suggest you constantly replenish your stock. I dont need to store Diesel because I have a 100 Gallon transfer tank on my truck that is filled weekly but if I did need to store Diesel then Id do it the same way I store my Gasoline. Example: I need 30 gallons of stored gas & and at least a half tank of gas in my vehicle to get me out of my assumed natural disaster hotspot. So, I store 50 Gallons of gas.... why? Because Im always using gas. I start with 50 gallons then, when my truck needs gas again I use the oldest (2) 5 gallon cans of my storage gas. Next week, when my truck needs to be refueled I take the (2) empty 5 gallon cans with me to the station. I repeat this process, always using the oldest 10 gallons. My storage gas is never more than 2 months old. If you use Diesel in the same manner I use gas then youll never have stored diesel in these cans long enough to need to worry about fuel break down or contamination problems.

> 3 daySturdy can. Handy shut off valve. 1 nozzle is too big for automotive use, buy the smaller nozzle for cars. THEY DONT TAKE RETURNS. I will now have to pay extra for the smaller nozzle or just not use it to fill cars.
