Easy to set up with my MacBook. Great for work travel. Wish the screen was brighter.

Having recently purchased a steamdeck and also an L-shaped desk I figured that the real state that I possess could serve well with a Steamdeck in desktop mode. So lets begin by saying that the Standalone monitor requires its own source of energy. Using the steamdeck dock as a source of power was not sufficient turn the screen on. Which means, I had a few more cables going around my new set up. No big deal! The quality of the picture is nothing to write home about. Its average and it displays average amount of colors. It isnt very bright either, but it isnt dark. Again, the screen brightness is about average as well. There is a volume control on the side that is spring tensioned (yeah weird huh?) pull it up to turn the volume up and down to turn it down. The volume control stick defaults in the middle. There is also a very tiny on and off button. It sits above the volume control stick, you cant miss it. Maybe it me, but I cant never tell when its on or off because there is no indication of it, outside of turning the attached device on. The biggest problem I have with this is that there a substantial perceived latency. At first I thought the steamdeck had issues recognizing my mouse, but I swapped it for another I had laying around and the latency was the same. I tried playing a few games and my biggest evidence is when the sound effects kick in vs when its displayed. There is a serious discrepancy in synchronization between the too, they barely match. This has led me to believe that this device is not a good component for gaming. I suspect it would be fine for watching videos. Now that I think of it, I dont think it would be even okay for professional use. The latency is very noticeable. The company actually sends you an e-mail after purchase, stating in its first paragraph that you should try to contact them if there is an issue before writing an Amazon review. I suspect this is a way to persuade people from bombing their review page with negatives - but I dont buy into it. The fact is this screen is kind of mediocre and that is expected for the price. Yes its very light and portable but latency should not be a compromise at all! I did my best to give this screen an unbiased review but for the sake of my intended purchase this is a no-go. Do not buy this for your Xbox, PS5 or Steamdeck.

I have been carrying this monitor around for a year at college. I keep it in a thin protective sleeve (some sort of foam) along with books and notepads in my backpack. It looks just as good today as Id did out of the box. I appreciate the magnetic protector that doubles as a stand. A single USB C cable provides power and video (via thunderbolt 4). It works great for zoom, PowerPoint, Excel, etc... I can not speak to its gaming or content creation properties. I am a happy customer and recommend this monitor for the college student needing a second monitor.

Very light and easy to set up

I just needed something portable with good picture quality to do my design work away from home. Im not a gamer, but this works perfect for what I need. I had another portable monitor for a couple years and it gave me problems from day one, but so far this one is just up and running right away and working great.

I work full time from home, and in my office I use two monitors. But when May comes, I stay at my campground and it is much harder to do my job efficiently with just a laptop. This screen is PERFECT! It’s the same size as my laptop so my eyes easily transition from one screen to the other. You need to be able to plug it in, but that’s not a big deal. The only complaint I have is that the case (which acts as a stand) doesn’t hold it upright very well. If you bump it, it falls down. But if you get it set up and put something in front or behind to help stabilize, it doesn’t do that. I usually put my water bottle behind it and that works just fine. My team of 5 decided to get one too based on how much I like mine. So they can work from their deck on nice days,

Full disclosure this is my second monitor from KYY as my first one broke. However, KYY was very generous in helping me resolve my issue and replace the damaged monitor. The monitor visuals are fantastic, and it is an extremely handy option to have as I primarily work remote and need a second monitor for when I am hot-desking around the company sites. Very useful, great picture, very convenient. Extremely useful for co-op video game nights as the monitor can be powered completely by an Xbox or similar, meaning a great small footprint in a couch gaming night. Very impressed by the KYY team in their customer service and product.

I have a HP Envy x360 Laptop and a 2nd screen would improve my workspace at home significantly, my wife told me to order something like this for my Christmas Gift. LOVE IT. Ordered it on Wednesday, it arrived Wednesday evening. Thursday - took it out of the box, very well packed. Screen, HDMI cable, USB-C to USB-C cable, USB-A to USB-C cable and USB-A Wall outlet power supply. My laptop has USB-A, USB-C and HDMI connections. Stood the Screen on the folding stand which is magnetic and easily supports the screen. Plugged the Screen to the laptop using the USB-C to USB-C connector ( its about 3 long ) and the screen woke up in just a few seconds. 1st impression - Really nice looking display but looks like a low res. Brought up the Display Settings on the laptop, the 2nd display was set to 150% text size, switched it to 100% - Wow! Fabulously clear view on the new screen. The new screen now sits on the right hand side of my laptop work area. When I move my mouse over to the right of the laptop screen, it smoothly rolls into the 2nd screen, the two screens now look almost identical in resolution, clarity and color. I love this screen. Easy setup, beautiful resolution, bright and crisp display. The new screen has a 2nd USB-C connection on the right hand side. On the left side are two controls. Lower is for the onboard menu that allows changes things like Brightness, Volume ( yes, the screen has a pair of speakers built in) I have both my laptop and the KYY screen set to 1920 x 1080 and matching brightness. When the laptop is shutdown, the KYY screen shows loss of input and a few moments later, the screen powers down, which is great as its getting its power from the USB-C port on the laptop. Waking the laptop up restarts the KYY screen very quickly. There is a power button on the left side. Long hold and the screen turns off. My laptop screen also goes off for a second or two then correctly returns to view. Pressing the KYY screen power button wakes up the screen very quickly. The stand easily folds to provide a complete two sided cover for the screen so that it easily and safely can be stowed in my laptop carry case. Very very pleased.
