Greater than one weekI just needed something portable with good picture quality to do my design work away from home. Im not a gamer, but this works perfect for what I need. I had another portable monitor for a couple years and it gave me problems from day one, but so far this one is just up and running right away and working great.

> 3 dayI work full time from home, and in my office I use two monitors. But when May comes, I stay at my campground and it is much harder to do my job efficiently with just a laptop. This screen is PERFECT! It’s the same size as my laptop so my eyes easily transition from one screen to the other. You need to be able to plug it in, but that’s not a big deal. The only complaint I have is that the case (which acts as a stand) doesn’t hold it upright very well. If you bump it, it falls down. But if you get it set up and put something in front or behind to help stabilize, it doesn’t do that. I usually put my water bottle behind it and that works just fine. My team of 5 decided to get one too based on how much I like mine. So they can work from their deck on nice days,

> 3 dayThis is exactly what I needed. I just needed a second monitor or screen extender because I find working for long hours on a laptop to be inconvenient while I am at home. The resolution is actually better than my Lenovo lol. Its super light weight and has all the functions that a normal monitor does. It even has its own speakers which is an added bonus. I was not looking for anything like that but if you are the sound is not bad. Easy to connect and comes with all the extra attachments for practically any laptop. I do suggest to read the connection type carefully and make sure your device is compatible, as I said it comes packaged with several adapters and attachments, but just on that off chance you dont want to be surprised take the time to read about the product.

> 3 dayHaving recently purchased a steamdeck and also an L-shaped desk I figured that the real state that I possess could serve well with a Steamdeck in desktop mode. So lets begin by saying that the Standalone monitor requires its own source of energy. Using the steamdeck dock as a source of power was not sufficient turn the screen on. Which means, I had a few more cables going around my new set up. No big deal! The quality of the picture is nothing to write home about. Its average and it displays average amount of colors. It isnt very bright either, but it isnt dark. Again, the screen brightness is about average as well. There is a volume control on the side that is spring tensioned (yeah weird huh?) pull it up to turn the volume up and down to turn it down. The volume control stick defaults in the middle. There is also a very tiny on and off button. It sits above the volume control stick, you cant miss it. Maybe it me, but I cant never tell when its on or off because there is no indication of it, outside of turning the attached device on. The biggest problem I have with this is that there a substantial perceived latency. At first I thought the steamdeck had issues recognizing my mouse, but I swapped it for another I had laying around and the latency was the same. I tried playing a few games and my biggest evidence is when the sound effects kick in vs when its displayed. There is a serious discrepancy in synchronization between the too, they barely match. This has led me to believe that this device is not a good component for gaming. I suspect it would be fine for watching videos. Now that I think of it, I dont think it would be even okay for professional use. The latency is very noticeable. The company actually sends you an e-mail after purchase, stating in its first paragraph that you should try to contact them if there is an issue before writing an Amazon review. I suspect this is a way to persuade people from bombing their review page with negatives - but I dont buy into it. The fact is this screen is kind of mediocre and that is expected for the price. Yes its very light and portable but latency should not be a compromise at all! I did my best to give this screen an unbiased review but for the sake of my intended purchase this is a no-go. Do not buy this for your Xbox, PS5 or Steamdeck.

Greater than one weekI had been eyeing this model for a while, and found it greatly discounted on Prime Day (I subbed to Prime to just to get this deal). The packaging was very nice and protective. Also included were 3 cables, a power brick (similar in size to what youd have for a cellphone), the folding carry case/stand, and even a screen protector. You have to install the screen protector yourself, but it was nice to have it included. The monitor itself is very slim and easily fits into my laptop case. I dont even need to carry the power brick that came with it, because the screen powers on via my PCs USB-C port. Very convenient! The screen is as vibrant as my newer Dell laptops screen (Inspiron). I ran a few dead or stuck pixel tests found on YouTube and it passed with no problems. The controls include a multifunction rocker and button switch which makes it easy to make screen adjustments, such as brightness. The on-board speakers are decent, but not as good as those in my 17 laptop. If you have a very compact laptop, the speakers in the KYY may actually be better. The included headphone jack is appreciated, although most laptops still have such a jack. If you have a newer Samsung phone this will be important to know. Im not a big gamer, but I tries just a little FPS gaming to check the response rate and to see if there was any ghosting. It looked very good. My main use is for productivity. Just having another screen to open up a web browser or office document does wonders for getting work done. You cant connect a full-size HDMI connector, Thats the only downside, but thats understandable due to the frames thinness. Just use the included HDM-to mini-HDMI cable. I will update this review if needed in the future, and I hope that I wont need to use the 12 month warranty. So far, this has been a great purchase for my needs. UPDATED October 7, 2021 After several months of usage and frustration due to one major flaw, I decided to return and provide an update to my initial review. I bought this unit to take with me on the road, which means that Im setting it up and packing it in my computer case quite often. I think thats a normal use-case for something called a Portable Monitor. I find that the screen is fairly dim, but thats not the source of my frustration, because turning up the brightness usually makes it useable. The problem is that every time you remove power (like each time youre packing up), the monitor loses all of its settings. This means you have to tweak the settings (like the brightness) each and every time you set it up. A monitor that is marketed as Portable should retain all of its settings upon removal from the power source. Disappointing! NOVEMBER 6, 2021 UPDATE============================ KYY customer service reached out to me and is truly top notch! Thank you KYY. If you want to be sure to get a unit that remembers your settings upon power-down, check out KYY model K3-1.

> 3 dayDuring the pandemic, I started working from home everyday and my office was eventually given up by my employer so my entire dept. is fully WFH now. I enjoyed working outside but could only do it for so long since I generally need a 2nd screen as I work with a lot of spreadsheets with many columns doing financial analysis. When I discovered these USB powered monitors I gave it a shot and its made me able to work outside whenever I want. Overall I love this monitor and would recommend it. The price is good, it works right out of the box with ease, it comes with all the necessary adapters, and the case work great. I work mainly with spreadsheets and #s so a super sharp screen isnt necessary so I cant comment how well this does for gaming or video but for financial work, I find it more than adequate. Just 1 criticism: the screen isnt super bright so on a bright sunny day you could have issues. Its not unusable by any means but not quite as bright as what youd get from an iPad or premium laptop. Im sure theres other monitors that can provide superior brightness.

> 3 dayI wanted a second screen for my macbook pro to make things like coding, taking notes while reading, and looking at things while in virtual meetings easier. Originally I was going to just get a plain stationary desktop to leave on my desk at home, but I travel a lot and liked the idea of being able to set up anywhere. It is pretty light and fits perfectly into my backpack. Someone recommended this to me and I think it was a great purchase! Super easy set up and I have been using it consistently for several months with no issues. Only tiny complaint is that the screen is pretty bright even at its lowest setting, which can be annoying for someone like myself who likes to work at night.

Greater than one weekEasy to use. Screen quality is very good for the price. Speakers are too small so not ideal to use as a primary speaker. But no issue as a second screen. Very portable. The Smart Cover is very handy as both the stand and a cover. Excellent weight for the size. Wish I could buy a bigger 18.6 in screen but too big and too heavy to carry in my travel bag. So this one is perfect for travel.

> 3 dayI got this today and it was better than expected. Was super easy to set up, worked well and right away and really surprised me when I was able to basically use my phone as a laptop on it. I gave 4 stars for 1 reason only and it really doesnt deserve to lose a star because this isnt something I was particularly looking for when purchasing it but its not touch screen.. there thats it everything else is AMAZING! Hope it last a long time!!
