One of the best purchases I made in the past year. A little heavier than I thought expected, but this criticism pales in comparison to all of the great features. I don’t use the touchscreen as much, but it’s nice to know that I have it.

Laptop was advertised as new but arrived in a Lenovo box with a broken seal and a user account already set up. The return process took about three weeks from the time I shipped it back until the refund was issued.

Love it! The only issue I have is that the screen freezes sometimes and takes a little bit for it to start working. Doesn’t happen often, but annoying when it does

Works fine for a day to day multiuse computer.

I got this computer as a present. Within 30 days of me using it, it turned off and would not turn back on. I was 4 days outside of my warranty so Lenovo wouldnt send me another computer. I had to spend an entire day on the phone with customer support and running around to buy things to fix the computer that was obviously defective in the first place. When we got it up and running again 8 hours later, I was told the problem would never happen again. Two months later the same thing. This time the lady that helped me had a much quicker solution to the problem but there was obviously still something wrong with my still very new computer. Despite the problem now happening twice, I was given nothing for my time or troubles. The third time it happened, I was put on the phone with a manager who still wouldnt replace it but spent a half hour trying to sell me an extended warranty so they could continue wasting my time making me fix my own faulty computer every two months when it breaks again. Either this is a horrible product built to last just until your warranty is up, or I ended up with a defective computer. Either way, be prepared to hold your breath every time you need to use your computer because it may or may not work and Lenovo could not be bothered to help in any real way.

This is an attractive laptop with good features at a reasonable price point. However, the laptops on/off button failed in less than a month of ownership. We returned this two weeks ago, but havent heard back on our refund.

This laptop is an amazing value. It is super speedy, has a great display and very comfortable keys and track pad. I use it to VPN into my work computer and it works flawlessly. However, my one-star demotion is because the design concept for the keys is maddening! The lettering is super faint. The keys are (weakly) backlit, but when viewing the keyboard at any amount of angle, the lettering basically disappears. I am a fast touch-typist, and there is the typical orientation bump on the keyboard, but I still find myself squinting and craning my neck at the keyboard, especially when using symbols or F Keys. I tried using appliqued letters, but the feel was annoying. It is a shame that such a high-performing computer would have such a serious flaw, which seems like it would have been so easy to rectify.

I bought my Lenovo Yoga C740 at BestBuy (the exact same color and specs that Amazon sells here and the exact same price) and have been using it for about two weeks. I will start with a possible warning, which may or may not turn out to be an issue - the laptop might be dropping randomly wifi connections. Mine did it a few times. Reconnecting is easy but no other laptop or any other smart device at home does it, so it might be a specific issue related to this laptop line. The Lenovo Yoga 730 and C940 lines appear to be having similar wifi issues and there are threads on the Lenovo forums about this problem, offering a number of possible solutions.

Not only does this company have multiple lawsuits pending regarding the YOGA series, but Ive also personally had multiple experiences with my laptop not working. The audio/microphone will go out with no warning, Ive taken it to BestBuy geek squad and Ive been told every time it required an update because the microphone files just disappeared. Ive put in a whole new battery, same issues. The finger reader stopped working this month, the volume button on the keyboard is acting up now too, it wont turn up when I click the button, it just stays frozen on the volume. Same with the volume down button. Certain buttons no longer work, and I am just completely done with this laptop. I have had it for two years and I am ready to sell it for far less than what I bought it for. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT TO ANYONE EVER.

We sell computers with upgraded configurations, so the original factory box will be opened and resealed to install the upgrades to achieve the specifications as advertised. Defects & blemishes are significantly reduced by our professional inspection & testing.
