> 3 dayThe monitor is absolutely fantastic. Its for sure the best monitor Ive ever owned and will definitely be with me for a long time. THE RESOLUTION: 1440p is absolutely better than 1080p. I had my doubts about how much better it actually is. I instantly noticed a difference when I played some games on it, and even just watching videos and looking at your desktop. I even had some family members who wouldnt even know what 1440p was and they all said that there was a clear difference. THE REFRESH RATE: This wasnt my first 144hz monitor, but it is the best one. I think its the fact that its combined with all the other things this monitor does well. But lemme put it to you this way, having a higher refresh rate isnt like watching something move faster. Its like when it moves, you can see more of it, you see more detail while its moving, and you can keep track of it better. Seriously, If you are reading this and you havent had a 144hz experience yet, I HIGHLY recommend just buying a montior like this one that has 144hz capabilities. EVERYTHING ELSE: Realistically, the only other good features of this monitor is G-Sync, which is pretty good. You have the 1ms response time, which is good and bad. The 1ms response time setting increases ghosting, which this isnt an issue with just this monitor. And having a bigger screen is nice as well. Its just a fantastic monitor. My monitor before this was a Viotek one and I was very disappointed with that one because it had dead pixels. Now there are bad eggs in every batch, but viotek seemed to send me 2 different monitors that had dead pixels. One after I returned my old one, waited 3 months to get a new one, and the new one had more dead pixels than the one before. Basically what Im saying is, even though this monitor would be about $50-$100 more expensive than something from a cheaper brand, its quality control and customer service promises that make it more expensive. And thats worth it more than the features that this monitor has. Ive had several LG monitors in the past and Ive had no issues with any of them. The only negative is that the stand is not very good. I mean, its a basic stock stand... Thats about it. Its too big, and generally looks ugly. I just dont like it that much, and I feel like it takes up too much room on my desk.

> 3 dayOnce calibrated delivers an outstanding color range. Big change from 1080 TN. Suffers from some backlight bleed in the bottom left but not distracting. No swivel. I do wish the monitor could drop a little lower. Contrast isnt the best but this is to be expected with an ips panel. Not a big difference between the rest of the options at this price point. My only gripe with the monitor isnt specific to this one but most LG monitors; deep sleep. Unless you set in windows for your monitors to never sleep, the LG will go into a deep sleep feature and appear disconnected, consequently switching your main monitor and moving your desktop icons. If you have multiple monitors be sure to turn off the LG last when youre done and turn it on first when you begin again. Otherwise, love this monitor. No dealbreakers here and not upgrading for a long time

> 3 dayI have been playing games for a long time now and was ready to invest in a better monitor since I need it for school but this on checked all my boxes on what I wanted. I liked that for the price I got it at which was cheaper than MSRP even though I would buy it at MSRP any day of the week, It was treated as a higher tier product when it comes to online reviews. The box that it came in was very well built and had so much foam protecting the screen it was hard to take out. I got the 144hz IPS 27inch model and like I said above I love this screen. There hasnt been any major problems with it which when I look at the other monitors I see online Im happy. The only thing that I didnt like was that the power cable wasnt a standard power cable that most monitors use. It wasnt that I didnt mind but with my power set up the plug took up 2 slots so it made it hard to power everything else in my setup. I have seen also on many review channels that there are monitors that are cheaper and better and I dont see it. If I had to recommend a monitor it would be this one. Have the 2k resolution was nice since I got a new GPU and was able to use the power of it to play games in stunning detail compared to my old 60hz 1080p monitor.

> 3 dayI got this monitor primarily for having a good bang for you buck option geared towards photo editing, video editing, and gaming and it delivers on all of these options. Pros: Smooth 144 hz refresh rate- This is a first for me and being exposed to a high refresh rate monitor, especially for gaming, changes your perspective on what you see and how responsive everything is. If you are an avid gamer then having a higher refresh rate of 120 to even 240 hz is a must! For the average consumer, this isnt really all that noticable. Beautiful, near bezeless design- For me, Im not used to a very sleek design that doesnt use minimal bezels. It makes the display look modern and expensive. 2k Display!- The bump from 1080p to 2k is short but yet is a big change. Everything is just a little more detailed and sharpened. This is great especially for photo editing to get into the fine details. Fairly color accurate- Im not someone who is looking to get an exact 100% sRGB for editing but for the price, its a great option! They even have a sRGB monitor setting to give you the most accurate colors the monitor can deliver. I believe the monitor has 99% sRGB but please dont take my word for it! For non creatives, this wont mean much to you. Slight Antiglare- Since the display is an IPS panel, there is a little bit of anti glare built in. Its not much but compared to a standard LCD panel it makes working in the daylight with the curtains open manageable. Cons: Most of the problems come from how lucky you are at getting a decent stand and display. For me, my stand and display only show minimal downsides. The Stand- I personally dont mind the stand at all. It feels girthy and stable but there are a lot of other consumers who have stated otherwise. The minor complaints of mine about the stand are the base where it balances itself and the color accents. The base used to balance itself is fairly large and takes up a good amount of space. If you have a smaller desk then look out for this! And the color accents used for the monitor only come in red which for me isnt a big deal but for someone who uses a specific color scheme for their setups might want to look else where The Backlight Bleed- Since this display is an IPS display, there is always bound to be atleast some bleeding but with mine, it isnt too bad. It shows up on the left corner a little bit and the bottom left corner which can be noticable when the screen is all black. This did bother me when I first got it but after only using it for roughly 3 days, Ive gotten used to it. If youre not a fan of backlight bleed and it annoys you then please stay away from this display for your own sanity! Conclusion: A brilliant display that can be used with nearly all gamers and creatives. It has a little bit everything you need that serves as the in between of being low quality and cheap and high quality but expensive. Easily one of the most bang for your buck monitors on the market!

> 3 dayWent for a 1080p monitor to this and was blown away by the difference. I haven’t found one flaw with this yet. The only thing I didn’t like but it’s not a flaw is the stand color is red. I wish there were different options for that but it doesn’t matter. Can’t wait to get another one of these for a second monitor set up.

> 3 dayIm just going to keep this brief, Im not sure how consistently well this works on a desktop PC but I can say Ive had a mountain of problems using it on my Gaming laptop (Asus Rog Zephrys 2020 model) when plugging into ANY docking station. Most laptops do not have a DP port built-in usually an HDMI so what you will need is an adaptor to get the full 144hz out of this. Ive gotten it to get 144hz and 1440p on certain games but I had to troubleshoot for several hours to get it working without tearing or lagging. With the same docking station and the same cables my second monitor works perfectly fine, but this monitor does not like docking stations or USB hubs at all. The problems mainly only happen with DP cables. when I plug in an HDMI it causes significantly less issues, but still has problems every once in a while (low frame rate without reason, no signal) even when I plug it in directly to the laptops HDMI port instead of a docking station. Regardless this monitor really hates docking stations. Ive tried 3 different laptops and 3 different docking stations, same issues. The other big issue I have with this monitor, is the colors seem very off and HDR looks very poor, below average at least. For the most part thats not an issue for gaming but if you like picture quality this is not what to get it for. The last issue I have, and this is more of my own fault for not checking, is there is only ONE DP port and TWO HDMI ports, neither are HDMI 2.1. Dont buy this if you have a next-gen console and are looking for 4k 120hz because it is not compatible. My intention was to plug in a next-gen console to this and my gaming laptop so I can switch back and forth, but I sadly did not read the description thoroughly. I believe all of the other reviews saying they had no issues because they most likely had a Desktop PC with DP ports built into it, but If you have a computer that does not have a DP port built-in you will be going through a lot of troubleshooting to get this at 144hz.

> 3 dayThis was a big upgrade from my ancient 1020p ViewSonic, but after about a week of use, I noticed a dead pixel. After reading the LG Support horror story review here, I decided Id just let it be -- its usually not noticeable. Just FYI, if youve never used an HDR monitor for Windows 10, you will likely need to adjust the HDR brightness settings separately, otherwise the display may seem too dark for you for everyday use.
