> 3 dayNo problems / No flickering. I purchased two of these monitors. Both work great. To those complaining about the advertised refresh rate, make sure your Pc/Xbox/PlayStation/ display supports it. Works good on my pc.

> 3 dayThis monitor gets the job done EXACTLY the way I need it to. I bought this monitor since I wanted to upgrade my picture quality from 1080p to 4K for a few years now and lately I have been putting my screens in grayscale to prevent myself from allocating too much time on activities that shouldnt be prioritized during certain times of the day and week; however, this monitor doesnt have a preset grayscale setting, so if you want to create one like I did then go to one of the premade settings, select Picture Adjust, and turn all of the Six Color settings to zero and hit save. I also setup another premade setting to be exactly like my custom grayscale setting but with color so I can easily and quickly switch between both modes.

Greater than one weekOrdered 1 back in Nov 2022 and the IPS glow was horrendously bad and impossible to ignore when looking at a dark image or website (i.e. a dark themed site). There was a constant bright glow in the bottom left corner that took up about 25% of the display. Its as if the sun was glaring on your monitor, but the blinds are closed... and its night time... I ordered a replacement and that one had the same exact issue. Very likely it was a bad batch considering other people have not reported this and anyone with eyes would have noticed the IPS glow, but I personally wont buy an LG monitor for a while, at least not this line of monitors. I wish I had took some pictures to showcase it, but taking a picture of a monitors display also isnt an accurate measure of how good does this monitor look However, when I was playing games in bright scenes, the display looked great and had a high, smooth refresh rate. I would still recommend it, but if you have this issue, consider talking with Amazon or LG support to see if you can get a replacement from a different batch (or something along these lines) because the IPS glow was not acceptable quality control. Because of this, I wont give a number rating for the picture or brightness quality, but will rate the gaming experience as 4/5.

> 3 dayExcellent monitor! Just upgraded from an LG 1080p 60hz IPS panel to this one and the difference is clear. Images/text on screen is much sharper and I can tell movement with the mouse cursor on the desktop is much smoother. I set the display scale to 125%, which now matches with my older 1080p monitor at 100%, otherwise text and desktop apps are just too small for my taste. You can really get an idea of smoothness during gaming. I play games where high FPS is preferred. Currently playing Halo Infinite on older hardware (GTX 1660 ti) but enough that I get about 70-72fps on medium graphics settings. Even with that, and response time set to fast I can already tell the difference in smoothness of gameplay compared to my old monitor. And I should mention the obvious jump in visual clarity is instantly noticeable! Just be sure your graphics card AND CPU can handle 1440p and produce high framerates especially for graphically intensive games. I noticed that in-between games my web browsing has slowed substantially due to CPU bottleneck while using this monitor (again just a limitation caused by older hardware). The joystick style menu control and layout is simple and easy to operate. This monitor even comes with an HDMI cable AND a DisplayPort 1.4 cable! Got mine for $280 and at this price point you really cant go wrong with this monitor.

> 3 dayId like to start by saying, ever since LG invented the wallpaper TV, Ive developed loyalty, strictly on their displays for everything. They are cheaper then Samsung, yet more innovative, so, kudos. That said, if my review sounds at all biased, Im sorry. There are no defects on the monitor I received. Ran an Ezio test and found nothing that stands out. Something to be aware of, is that if you purchase a VESA mount, it needs to be 100x100, and even if that mount has spacers, you may need some washers to compensate for a gap. The reason for this, is to keep the back flat and uniform when installing the stand it comes with, but considering monitors these days are naturally very thin, this causes a problem by limiting the female port length for the screws needed to secure a VESA mount. In my case, 8 small washers I had left over from other projects fixed this problem. Something else worth noting is it is Nvidia G-Sync compatible (there is an attractive sticker showing this monitor is capable of it on the bottom left that Im assuming can be removed). My Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super recognized that it is a G-Sync compatible monitor, and I was able to enable G-Sync thru the Nvidia Control Panel, however, when you view settings on the monitor itself, it is called Adaptive Sync. From what Ive read, this is because they used to be one in the same, and it works just the same as far as I can tell. Enabling it in the Nvidia Control Panel made the monitor settings show Adaptive Sync: Enabled. One feature I really liked that I wasnt aware of when buying this monitor, is that the settings button is a small joystick. If clicked in it opens the settings window, if towards you or away from you, it allows you to adjust the brightness, and left or right is headphone volume. Overall very nifty for one button. If you need a VESA mount but arent sure what to get, this is what I ordered: VIVO Dual LCD Monitor Desk Mount Stand Heavy Duty Fully Adjustable fits 2 /Two Screens up to 27 (STAND-V002). Mine is a dual mount but you can choose between double and single. The mount itself is extremely sturdy. Zero wobble and aesthetically pleasing, as it has a cable management system and you can hide the VIVO logo on the main support pole if you want to (I did, Im not the biggest fan of logos). But not to veer off the topic or review, 2560 x 1440 @ 144hz for under $400 from LG w/ G-Sync compatibility is the most perfect monitor I could ask for. 2k is ideal for gaming as 4k is too demanding for AAA titles (for about 90% of the Gaming PC Community and 100% of the eSports Community). One last thing Ive noticed, is that I have had a 4k screen in the past, and noticed the resolution makes everything extremely tiny (the taskbar being the most obvious reference). 2k is the sweet spot, because its not too small, but there is now enough real estate for a 27 monitor to be all I need (for gaming). When I get into photo editing, etc., I will likely purchase a 4k monitor, but only for shows, movies, and editing. I do self-taught audio production work, and 27 2k is more then enough for me. Some producers use widescreen monitors, which is great for them, Im sure, but not necessary after seeing this thing. Thank you LG, for the ultimate monitor, and thank you Amazon, for an undamaged product.

Greater than one weekFirstly, you cannot use anything above 60hz unless you disable: Freesync premium, HDR (usually) and power saving mode. Only after changing these settings can you use refresh rates like 120hz or 144hz. Second, the screen seemed very saturated at first, so I turned all 6 color saturations to 37, down from the default 50. Additionally, the power plug is huge and cumbersome to arrange other cords around. Currently, I’m using a Samsung monitor power cable instead, which oddly enough, fits the monitor perfectly. The smoothness of motion on this IPS monitor is amazing on rocket league and think that makes all the frustration worth it (probably).

> 3 dayOriginally, I purchased the ASUS TUF Gaming 27 (VG279Q1R) monitor. After Amazon failed to send me the correct product twice they sent me the 23.8 monitor (VG249Q1R). I gave up and tried the LG 27GL83A-B and no regrets! The monitor came in a very packaged box, very quick and simple to put together. I was super excited, since this is the first gaming monitor I have bought. Keep in mind, my rig isnt the greatest, but I was stoked to finally use the display port. I first tried this monitor on dying light 2, and to be honest, I was worried. I had constant drops in FPS/Hz. The lag and flickering was so bad, I was starting to get headaches. After messing with the settings I found in the monitor settings: General -> DisplayPort Version. Default was 1.4, but I changed it to 1.2 just to see what would happen, and it works perfectly now. No lag, no loss in Hz. I know I read a bunch of reviews where other customers were having issues with flickering while using the displayport. Im not sure if this is a proper fix, I never researched or looked up anything, I messed with it and it worked, so I left it at that. I just figured my graphics card was out-of-date, so by dumbing down was work around that worked, but hey, I am super happy with this monitor!
