I like this stuff! If you dont want the white or black gesso, youll like this stuff! I own SEVERAL of different products from this brand and I can honestly say, they have not failed me yet. They are make good quality products and I feel they are worth the price.

I purchased this via a blog recommendation for priming silicone molds for acrylic paints. I had better luck simply using the paint alone than coating with this 1st. This layer would actually randomly peel off, along with any paint, making it completely useless. It beads up, puddles & if too much time is spent spreading it about,it will peel off. Its worse than using the acrylic paint alone..

good product

I’ve not used the super heavy gesso before but I think it’s going to be my new favorite. I was able to get a really nice smooth surface on my canvas. Also held texture really well on other canvases. Very happy with this- had to YouTube on how to open it though. Using exacto knife to remove tabs worked well

Good for my crafting

I had never used Clear Gesso before and it will now be my go to for creating overpainting and giving tooth to certain surfaces. One thing I have used it for is to paint over the face of someone from a magazine on an Artist Trading Card -- its great fun and of course ATCs are swapped but never sold.
