> 24 hourI had the original Logitech G300 years ago for gaming. OA couple of years later one of the mouse buttons quit working after I slammed it down in frustration during an Urban Terror match. I purchased the same mouse again to replace it. Years later, the little pads on the bottom of the mouse had worn out and I decided to try a new mouse but didnt like it as much. Tried a couple more with the same outcome and decided to go back to my old favorite again and wondered if I would even be able to find it still. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that Logitech had released an updated version of my old favorite in the G300S and hadnt changed the buttons at all. The ambidextrous design makes locating the desired buttons easy to remember and execute in the fraction of a second. It may be a little outdated in todays gaming mouse market, but its still my weapon of choice.

> 24 hourI have come to the ironic conclusion that this mouse is not the best for gaming, but good for everything else. The mouse software is not the most reliable, and will sometimes switch profiles in the middle of games which is very frustrating. It happens rarely, but enough to be a recurring annoyance. I have one of these at my work office too. As a graphic designer, being able to map six additional buttons to Adobe tools has seriously improved my workflow. Its very comfortable to use all day, and well-built with sturdy hardware. It has only a bit of the gamer aesthetic, so I am not too embarrassed to have it at work. The mouse software doesnt crash and switch profiles while Im at work. As my work computer has more RAM, I suspect that on my home gaming setup, the Logitech software gets force closed during resource intense games.

> 24 hourIll keep my review brief, but note the following points: * Overall a pretty good overall * Use it as a lefty mouse and, like some reviewers, havent found anything better on the market. * Build quality feels okay, nothing special. Its like a generic Dell mouse with something extra that kicks it up a notch. Maybe its the rubber grip or the fine-tuned *click* of the mouse button. Who knows. * Starting to notice that left button (normally, a right button if using right hand) is acting funky with just about two years of causal use. I see one reviewer gave the mouse one star for durability. I think thats a little low. This is a decent mouse for the price and, as mentioned above, is probably the best option for left-handed users who dont want to spend a hundred bucks or more on something.

> 24 hourThese mice are great for gaming. However, they DO NOT last long. I just bought my third one in three years. The button placement is ideal for me.

> 24 hourthis is a good mouse with buttons in the right places if like me you mouse left handed this should work pretty well for you my only complaint is the weight it is too light so if you like a heavier mouse you may want the more expensive one that has a weight system but is not quite as ambi as this one is

> 24 hourAfter a little over a month, the scroll wheel has certainly become annoying. Its stiff, like it doesnt want to move. It moves, you just have to really try.

> 24 hourThe mouse is relatively comfortable even in my giant hands, and as a leftie, and certainly does its job well. If I was to utilize the extra buttons on it, Id like it FAR more than the usual gaming mouses buttons, as theyre placed differently, and their location is FAR superior in that it is far less likely for me to accidentally bump them while using it. Ive had a more classically laid out gaming mouse, and could not stand where the buttons were placed because I would constantly bump them. All in all, its a good mouse, especially so if youre looking for a cheaper priced gaming mouse. Id certainly say to give it a go if youre on the hunt for a new moose. Er... louse? House... no no thats not right... AH WELL, you get the point haha

> 24 hourConfig is similar to other far more expensive Logitec gaming mice that Ive owned. Its light but probably has weights at bottom so very solid / hefty feel low center of gravity The price went up after I bought when I thought about buying a couple more as gift. It is very ergonomic and works with left hands. button action very positive. ALT button outside normal finger position but close. Chip inside does comparable resolution and Sampling rate to 15 yo top end laser mice. Sliding surface is thick, slippery. Cord is slippery so drag isnt an issue. The weak points, furthest ring finger is a reach for me in my fav postion, button config app does Everything so Id rather have complex setup with easy to swap configs for desktop painting/cad apps.
