I didn’t buy this for gaming. I bought it for use with my work PC as a full-time telecommuter. I’m right-handed, but I prefer to use a mouse with my left hand for various reasons, and my employer’s IT security policies require that I use a wired keyboard and mouse. The mouse they gave me is kind of small for my hand and had started to have problems where it double-clicked constantly even if I clicked only once—which, I gather from other comments here, seems to be a common problem for Logitech devices. All of that meant I didn’t have a lot of choices for a new mouse and I more or less got this one by default. It’s been outstanding so far. I’d still like something a little bigger, and because of IT security restrictions I can’t install the software that would let me program some of the buttons (I’d like to program two of them to function as back and forward buttons in a browser), but overall it feels a lot better than the previous device and looks sharp. If it eventually wears out and starts double-clicking, well, at least it wasn’t very expensive.

I had a left-handed Razer Deathadder mouse for years until the buttons finally started failing. I dont play FPS games as much as I use to, so I didnt need a high performance model, just a good left-handed or ambidextrous mouse. For the price this model looked a good choice... and its not a bad mouse... there are a few things though. The good: its ambidextrous and does feel comfortable on both hands. The extra buttons (6) are on the top, not the sides, which makes access much easier to me (Razer had side buttons and I only ever could comfortably use 1 set). It has accurate and smooth gliding, and allows for fine tuning the responsiveness. The bad: it is a little smaller than mice I am use to, which took some adjustment. Due to its ergo design you do have to grip it to use it fully and cant just palm it. And while I would not label it flimsy it does feel less sturdy than the Razer and Microsoft mice I have used regularly before. I personal comment, for me it makes my palm sweat, which is kinda odd. Overall, for the price I think its a decent mouse and would recommend... I have no real complaints that arent personal preference in nature, especially considering how far and few true left-handed or ambidextrous mice are. If the longevity turns out to be less than stellar, I might revise this... but for now its good.

The buttons on top are very important so that my husband doesnt hit the wrong button while gaming. The mouse works great but this is his second one. The first one lasted about 18 months, I hope this one lasts longer.

I have owned three of these so far and Im back ordering another one. I play WoW and find the additional buttons incredibly helpful, though Ive opted to only use the left two now (originally I programmed all of them, but found I was too used to using the keyboard; I mouse over macrod my dots and most common hots to the left two and thats all I really need). In order to use the additional buttons in WoW, you have to set it up a specific way (easily googled), but the left two are no brainers. My kid uses it for several other games as well. My mice are abused by five kids, but theyve held up pretty well. I had to replace one because they were using the USB port on my laptop on the same side as the couch arm, which then crimped it too many times and the wire eventually broke. Totally our fault. The one Im ordering today is due to it having a double click issue-if I click on anything, it automatically double clicks. Ill actually be trying to fix this myself but I want a backup in case I fail/break it. However, Ive had this mouse for well over a year and its the most used one, so I really cant complain-especially since, as I said, its abused by kids. Lol.

These mice are great for gaming. However, they DO NOT last long. I just bought my third one in three years. The button placement is ideal for me.

I use this mouse for graphic design every day and it lasts only about a year or so before the left click (pick) button develops a key lag. This is when you click on something there is a lag between when you clicked and when it picks. The reverse is true, when you release the left click button there is a lag between when you physically released the button and when it actually does release. This is a WIRED mouse and should not have this lag problem one can have with a wireless mouse. Ive reconciled the fact this mouse is a consumable and must be replaced regularly. I use this mouse only because of the 4 programmable buttons on either side of the left and right buttons. Its time to order a replacement UPDATE: I got the new replacement mouse today, its a huge difference to the other mouse which was only three years old. The new mouse clicks are responsive, doesnt feel mushy like the old mouse. I should have replaced the old mouse a year ago. Like I said this is a good mouse, but only when you treat it as a consumable to replace every year or so if you use it everyday for work or gaming.

Ive been using the G300 mouse for years. Most of us are used to using navigation buttons reachable by your thumb, so I thought the button placement would be odd. I find the placement fine and just end up using my clicker fingers for those buttons. What I do like the most is that the mouse is pretty much fully programable. You can move it computer to computer if needed and still have the same buttons programed to the same function. Everything is stored internally. I always keep a spare G300, and my previous G300 started double clicking after heavy use. Since my spare is now in service I ended up buying 2 more since they were on sale. Definitely a great mouse for the price!

First of all, this is the most ergonomically comfortable mouse Ive ever used. It feels like it was molded for my hand. Id say I have medium to large hands, but very slender; not meaty hands. I still think the mouse would feel good to meat-handed people, though. The second thing I like is the positioning of the extra buttons. Most gaming mice have buttons on the sides so you can press them with your thumb, but pressing buttons with your thumb doesnt have the same natural feel as pressing buttons with your other fingers, in my opinion. Also, Im new to PC gaming, so some of the different keys for Rainbow Six Siege (a first-person shooter) are very difficult for me to use, especially while trying to use other keys as well. For example, if I want to strafe to the right while cooking a grenade, Id have to press D (strafe right) and G (grenade). Well, D and G both require the left index finger to press. I solved this by binding G (grenade) to the top left extra mouse button. Melee (V) was also a difficult key for me to press if I wanted full control of movement, so I binded (bound?) that to the bottom left mouse button. Additionally, pressing 2 to switch to your secondary weapon was too much for me, so I bound that to the top right mouse button. Finally, pressing U for push-to-talk is absurd if I want to just give a quick message to a teammate while moving around, so I bound that to the bottom left mouse button. Its just super convenient, these four extra buttons on top of the mouse rather than on the side of the mouse. It also has plenty of versatility with the DPI settings. Highly recommended. Though keep in mind this is my first gaming mouse, so Im not familiar with how others feel when using them. I just know that if I ever need to replace this one, I will be replacing it with the exact same model.

I like this mouse because it has 3 modes and many programmable buttons. It is symmetric, which is crucial to me as a leftie (I can never find leftie mouse). I wish there was an alternative of this mouse but wireless. Still the cable is long enough, device works great and price is pretty good for the product so I would most certainly buy again.
