> 3 daySo I bought my OG G300s back in 2014 for under $30, which is what it is nearly all the time. It has been my daily driver and I bought a second in 2017 for use on my laptop while in college. This mouse performs more than a $30 mouse. The DPI changes easily, quickly, and snappy. I play LoL, EFT, and a lot of random clickers. I believe I am well over the 1 million click life on both the left and right mouse buttons. The lighting is eh, but for something you will never see while using, it didnt bother me. the side buttons are small and out of the way and are not easy to actuate by accident. It took me nearly 6 years to write this review and its short sweet and to the point. I did not think this mouse was going to last over 2 years. It is slowly dying now, but not on the most used parts of it. The part that is dying, the scroll wheel press down is starting to go. Overall, if you need a mouse for gaming, this is it. Do autocad and want to make some macros for ease of life, this is it. Just need a mouse in general? This is it. It has some bells and whistles, but doesnt scream Im a gaming nerd to the world. For it constantly selling for under $30 and the life span that I have gotten, heard of, and seen it is worth it. Just a small ROI breakdown, for me buying this at $24 for 6 years, that means it cost a penny a day to save for another one. Totally worth

Greater than one weekI purchased the Logitech G300s optical gaming mouse about a month ago. I bought it because my previous non-gaming mouse had succumbed to the beating of using it for gaming every day for half a year. In the short time I’ve had the mouse I can’t speak entirely for its durability, but from what I’ve done with it so far it seems to be fairly well made. It has an interesting feature that was different than what I was used to-the secondary buttons are on the top instead of the side. At first it took some getting used to, but it’s much easier to use when the buttons are right at your fingertips already and you don’t have to move your fingers to use them. The mouse has a lot of different programs and settings to cater it to exactly what you want for it. It has three internally stored custom settings you can use for each different game. The lights on the side of the mouse will light up a specific color for each setting you use. For example, if I prefer to use a faster mouse speed for one game and a slower speed for another, I can have stored programs that you select that will alter the settings depending on what game you’re in. I find this feature great since I play multiple games. The mouse is very responsive, and the settings on the speed go very far in both directions. You can have the DPI set very high or very low. I have noticed though that sometimes the DPI will randomly change The shape of the mouse is great for someone who uses a claw style grip on the mouse(using fingertips instead of lying fingers down flat on the mouse) because it is so small. If you were someone who uses a palm style grip I would not recommend this mouse. It does draw a lot of power, so using it on a laptop while not plugged in will drain your battery fairly fast. Other than these few problems, I still give it four stars.

> 3 dayWhen it comes to freeing up your left hand, being able to program aim required gadgets or abilities to the mouse is key. This mouse is comfortable, offering multiple easy access top buttons while being extremely lightweight and ambidextrous. This is my favorite mouse I just wish Logitech would create a quality platform with better presentation and update some of the software. I still love this mouse though. Im on my second G300s, been using them since 2018.

> 3 dayGreat for office work!!! Copy/Paste/screenshot etc. Especially saves your hands instead of using the keyboard shortcuts constantly throughout the day. A smaller mouse if used for gaming but has appropriate software and internal memory for portability between machines.

> 3 dayThis mouse is probably one of the best Ive ever used as a left-handed user. Actually, I tend to switch off between left and right handed use depending on the environment, and this mouse is perfectly designed for exactly that. Everything about this mouse is symmetrical while still having excellent grip, and the extra buttons are fully reprogrammable with multiple hot-swappable configurations (and you can even set up the reprogramming software to automatically change the active configuration depending on what software is running!). Honestly, A+ feature set. Ive also grown to prefer the extra buttons on the top of the body as opposed to the sides, because trying to click side buttons with my gripping fingers is always pretty awkward for me, especially with regular right-handed mice with buttons exclusively on the left. Unfortunately, the cable is quite fragile. Not even 2 years into moderate use, it had a pretty significant short that is gradually making the one I have unusable. Maybe I just got unlucky, but the cable does seem fairly cheap compared to the rest of the build. I wish this exact mouse design came in a USB wireless option, I would buy that in a heartbeat.

Greater than one weekConfig is similar to other far more expensive Logitec gaming mice that Ive owned. Its light but probably has weights at bottom so very solid / hefty feel low center of gravity The price went up after I bought when I thought about buying a couple more as gift. It is very ergonomic and works with left hands. button action very positive. ALT button outside normal finger position but close. Chip inside does comparable resolution and Sampling rate to 15 yo top end laser mice. Sliding surface is thick, slippery. Cord is slippery so drag isnt an issue. The weak points, furthest ring finger is a reach for me in my fav postion, button config app does Everything so Id rather have complex setup with easy to swap configs for desktop painting/cad apps.

> 3 dayI have owned three of these so far and Im back ordering another one. I play WoW and find the additional buttons incredibly helpful, though Ive opted to only use the left two now (originally I programmed all of them, but found I was too used to using the keyboard; I mouse over macrod my dots and most common hots to the left two and thats all I really need). In order to use the additional buttons in WoW, you have to set it up a specific way (easily googled), but the left two are no brainers. My kid uses it for several other games as well. My mice are abused by five kids, but theyve held up pretty well. I had to replace one because they were using the USB port on my laptop on the same side as the couch arm, which then crimped it too many times and the wire eventually broke. Totally our fault. The one Im ordering today is due to it having a double click issue-if I click on anything, it automatically double clicks. Ill actually be trying to fix this myself but I want a backup in case I fail/break it. However, Ive had this mouse for well over a year and its the most used one, so I really cant complain-especially since, as I said, its abused by kids. Lol.

15-04-2025My G600 (which I used for the left hand although it is not ambidextrous) died (right button became flaky after three years of daily use; and thats typical for G600 -- it just does not last that long) and I bought this one saving ,say, $15. But there is no free lunch and one important defect of this mouse is that the wheel does not have clicks for left and right tilt ) like say all expensive mice from Logitech, and thus you cant assign macros to tilts. For those who do not use them its OO, but for m this is a big shortcoming. I deducted one star for this. Please be aware that this mouse looks cheap in comparison wit, say $36 Logitech mice like G602 , but it does work and is more conviniet to use with the left hand. But you simply cant compare look and feel quality to G600 of G602 to this student model. You can still use 6 macros with it and Logitech Gaming Software which allows you to program macros in Lua, which are individualized for each application you use (not just games, but any application) As such this mouse is not only for gamers. It is perfectly suitable, for example, for Unix sysadmins as it allows execute complex macros in Windows Terminal emulator such as Teraterm. Also helps for people with RSI who need to change hands in order give affected with RSI hand time to recover. I wish the industry would produce more models of ambidextrous mouse, as RSI is a real epidemic among heavy computer users and professionals, but we have what we have.
