I didn’t buy this for gaming. I bought it for use with my work PC as a full-time telecommuter. I’m right-handed, but I prefer to use a mouse with my left hand for various reasons, and my employer’s IT security policies require that I use a wired keyboard and mouse. The mouse they gave me is kind of small for my hand and had started to have problems where it double-clicked constantly even if I clicked only once—which, I gather from other comments here, seems to be a common problem for Logitech devices. All of that meant I didn’t have a lot of choices for a new mouse and I more or less got this one by default. It’s been outstanding so far. I’d still like something a little bigger, and because of IT security restrictions I can’t install the software that would let me program some of the buttons (I’d like to program two of them to function as back and forward buttons in a browser), but overall it feels a lot better than the previous device and looks sharp. If it eventually wears out and starts double-clicking, well, at least it wasn’t very expensive.

Have been using a very small travel mouse for a long time. Wanted a mouse with buttons that could be programed. But most of them are for right handed people, and yes Ive heard it all and no I cant use a right handed mouse. Have tried and no, go my right hand just will not use a mouse after trying for a very long time my right hand just will not learn period. So bought a left handed mouse was so excited to get it but when I took it out of the box it was way to big for my hand, tried to use it but did not have enough control was just to big. So decided to get this one and glad that I did. This mouse fits my hand perfectly not to small as the Logitech travel mouse and not as large as the left handed Razer Naga that I bought. Love that it has buttons to program, yes am a gamer. Now have buttons to use along with the number pad on the key board its great. Just wish it had more buttons but we left handed people with small hands have to deal with what is out there. Recommend this product.

I have been using this mouse for a few months now. I had to stop because I was getting wrist pain. The problem is the placement of the side buttons G4 and G6. In order to use them you have to lift and bend your fingers a lot to get to them. By default, G4 is the back button for browsing so it gets used a lot. I have since switched to the G502 and my wrist has stopped hurting. If you do buy this mouse, I strongly recommend that you only map commands to G4 and G6 that are seldom used.

For a 20$ price range mouse, it works well. One can with ease use either hand and one finger for both keys. While not a WoW Mouse, 6 additional keys is fine for most basic things if one wants. The wheel feels like it might not last decades but should be fine a few years.

Been using this one now for over 2 years. Bought a 2nd for spare. Programming it was easy. Now that I think about it Ill be getting a 3rd to take with me on the road for the macro capabilities that are stored in it to travel with.

EDIT: Updated to 2 stars because I found a workaround. I was able to use an OLD laptop (8 year old MacBook that doesnt have the newest OS) which could run the outdated Logitech Gaming Software to be able to program the buttons. After I set it, I could use the mouse on my current laptop so at least the buttons have functions. Would not be able to change the buttons unless I went back the the old laptop to reset it but of course that is inconvenient and unlikely to happen. Sad Logitech considers this mouse obsolete. Its really their best one and I really wished they would allow it to work on GHub. === 1 star. This is actually my favorite mouse and I used one for many years. It stopped working so I replaced with the G502 Hero. The G502 is great except the scrolling is terrible, constantly over-scrolling. I saw the G300s was available and purchased right away. The problem is that this mouse does not use the GHub software. You have to download the OLD software - Logitech Gaming Software in order to use it and program the keys. This program is outdated and will not run on any newer Macs. Logitech claims this is an obsolete mouse which is why there is no support. Trying to figure out a way to get it to work but if its not possible, I will return it.

If you ever switch your mouse hand - this is the mouse for you. Though it will only fit well if you have a medium-sized hand.

Really like the design of this mouse. For gaming especially FPS having the buttons on top is really comfortable and easy to reach and figure out which button you want to press. They did leave 2 things out though that would have made it even better. I see no reason why it would not benefit from having two buttons on the side in addition to a sniper button for a total of 3 buttons on the side. The design does lend itself for using with the left or right hand though. I having been trying this out against a vertical gaming mouse, one of Logitechs other higher priced gaming mice with a sniper button and so far I like this one the best in regards to comfort and button layout. Have never had a mouse with this many buttons on the top and I really like it. Using Logitechs gaming software you can program the buttons (including the DPI cycle button) to any keyboard key, mouse function, or other various windows functions like copy or paste. If you are looking for a different design or are left handed I would recommend giving this one a try. Also the wheel does not free spin so you are stuck with scrolling like mice do from the beginning of time (but at the time of my purchase it was fairly cheap for a gaming mouse).
