This Smart Plug controller is great. It was fast and easy to set up. I put it on my 2.4 GHz guest wifi, and it connected on the first try. I have other Meross devices too. I have 2 wifi garage door controllers which also work very well. I recommend this controller.

Update - October 27, 2022. Unfortunately, my excitement with this plug was short-lived. It has an exceptionally poor ability to stay connected to Wi-Fi, even when plugged in next to a router for testing. It would stay connected maybe 24 hours, and then disconnect, failing to reconnect. There has been one firmware update to address Wi-Fi stability since I received this, but it has failed to resolve the problem. So the potential is there, but until this issue is resolved I cannot recommend it. Original review below: So I picked up some LED string lights on Amazon, but, as with most string lights, you plug them in to turn them on, and unplug them to turn them off. I am a lazy human, and do not wish to do this. First, it means I have to leave my rooftop deck in the dark, and secondly it means Id fall down the stairs. Neither of these scenarios are appealing. So enter the Meross Smart Dimmer Plug, - with HomeKit support! Perfect. Plug string lights into Meross plug, and then plug the Meross into the outlet. Then it was just a case of using the Meross app/HomeKit to add the plug, and done! This supports dimming, which I was glad to see my string lights do, too. Excellent product, easy to set up, and well-priced, too. 5 out of 5. Love it.

Easy to install and set up with Alexa or Google. I link being able to set program for patio lights vs the main system that only had sunset for a certain time duration. The negative is having a strong enough WiFi signal. If you have to buy a WiFi extender, not sure it would be worth it. Have to wait for rain before I try out the water proofing.

For those of you having difficulty getting this smart plug to work on your router or need a Mac Address to connect it to your router, check to see if Mac Filtering is enabled on your router. It may have a similar name other than Mac Filtering, but you will need to disable it. Once disable, go through the instructions on the Merross app on your smart phone or iPhone to install the smart plug. Once it is installed (shouldnt take long), you can go to the plug in the app and get the plug info from the app... the Mac Address will be there. Then you can add the Mac Address to your router filter, enable Mac Filtering on the router and then it will take a few minutes, but you should be good to go. Its a hassle, but it works. For those using Alexa, I havent figured that part out yet, but it still needs to be installed first using the instructions above before you can add it to your Alexa.

Was hard to get it to link with my wifi once you get pass the long process of trying to pair it to your wifi network. It works great.

This plug and app was easy to install. I needed an electrical source that would come on at midnight and shut off at 8am. This one does that perfectly every time. Additionally, should I want to use the plug temporarily for something else, I can accomplish that by just pressing the button on the plug, then pressing it again when I am finished so it can go back into its pre-programmed routine.

3rd meross device in my house. Works good and does its job well. Very easy to install. Integration with Google home is perfect - no issues with controlling the plug from Google home application or using Google assistant voice commands.

The Smart plug worked well. I was using an indoor smart plug outside and the wifi signal was too weak to activate. I replaced with this outdoor smart plug and immediately the issue resolved. it did the job well!

This was easy to hook up to my wifi and I added it to my outdoor light scene easily. I actually added if for my Christmas lights and added a color changing LED flood light. I decided to keep it up year round. The two outlet independent setup is great. Great purchase.

I have the (5) Feit Electric String lights in my yard and I have them connected to an outlet via the Treatlife smart dimmer until now. However, the smart dimmer plug a low voltage issue where the lights randomly flash when they are turned off annoying the neighbors at night. Also, it was connected to HomeKit via homebridge. Then came this little piece of genius which solved all my issues and has a very wide dimming range as a bonus, if you are into HomeKit and looking for a plug in dimmer, this is it!
