Greater than one weekWhile I have a different, popular manufacturer, for managing a number of sockets inside my house, they dont make any for outside use. But as I have different C7 lights out lining my house from Oct thru April I wanted something for outside, searching I took a chance on these and so glad I did. Very easy to use and setup thru the app but I love the routine functionality, and the fact that I can control, and set routines for, each plug individually. Liked it so much Ive bought two more already.

> 3 dayThe quality is as pictured - its really good. However, setup was not fun. Put it this way: I bought an amazon smart plug. I plugged it in, Alexa discovered it automatically, and I was in business. This plug requires you to install a third party app, create an account, set up your plug, and link a skill with Alexa. For me, the linking process kept erroring out on me, to the point I got frustrated, removed the third party app, and decided to return the plug. However, the next day, I reinstalled the app and power cycled my echo, and everything just worked. So...Im keeping it. Youll see THREE smart plugs in your Alexa app. One for the main device, and one for each plug (there are two). You can manipulate any of them with your Alexa/Echo. Now that its installed, Im happy with what I got - Alexa voice control for outdoor patio string lights. But it was a big pain to get it working.

> 3 dayThis review is for the 2nd generation of this product, which is smaller and rounded. There appear to be reviews from both generations mixed together. Overall the plug works great as advertised. I used it on some Christmas lights. Its worth noting that the plug covers may not be the nice black ones pictured. The unit I got had the ugly yellow covers that are shown on the HomeKit version. I emailed the manufacture and they said that even if they did replace the unit, there is no way to guarantee I wouldnt get another unit with the same covers. Not a huge deal, but still not quite as advertised.

> 3 dayAll of our Meross controllers have always worked flawlessly. This on is no exception. I cant wait to review our Meross remote garage door opener.

> 3 dayHomekit compatible smart plugs in general were expensive compared to non-Homekit years ago. This has changed, yes, still more expensive. But to not have to use multiple smart apps for each switch is a mental life-saver. Setup was easy scanning the QR code and adding it to the Home app. I did download the Meross app after and if you allow it to connect to your network it will find the plug to see if there are any firmware updates without having to setup the dimmer in the Meross app. So good, I bought a second one for future light additions.

Greater than one weekThe first plug I received didn’t work at all and came with zero instructions. The replacement works, but when I follow the instructions it won’t pair with the merros app, but will work with apple home for about 30 minutes. After that it’ll say “No response”. The plug is literally in my kitchen not more than 20’ from the WiFi and I have very good wifi. My phone is a iPhone 13 Pro Max and it’s updated. This plug is a total waste of time and money. I’m in my 20’s, technologically advanced, and I’ve spent hours trying to figure it out. It’s very frustrating and I’m gonna go back to my old fashion timer that plugs into the wall.

> 3 dayI was getting tired of resetting the outdoor timer for our porch lights to match shifting daylight hours especially fall and spring, not to mention every power outage (frequent for us in winter). I’ve had great success with Meross smart plugs in the past and it had good reviews on tech sites. Unfortunately you can’t really trust Amazon reviews. What can I say? I plugged it in to an easy-access indoor outlet and lamp, scanned the code with my iPhone, labeled it, and it connected to HomeKit. Moved it to the porch lights, created automation to turn on at sunset and turn off later. Now if my kids are out late, I can just override the turn off and leave the lights on until their iPhone is home. I also randomly change smart lights when we travel (we have an AppleTV and a few HomePod minis, any of which give us secure access away from home). Easy to link, easy to use, rugged… I plan to get another next Black Friday week for Christmas lights! Meross is by far the most reliable and easiest brand of smart plugs…and I don’t do a thing after power outages or time changes. Worth every penny!

> 3 dayVery easy setup and integrated into Smartthings. Perfect for what I needed, to run my deck lights and water fountain. Independent control for the two outlets was a big plus! I would be conscious of the amperage of the devices you are plugging into the unit, but for most, it is adequate. Only gripe is the plugins will not accept bigger block type plugins; not a deal breaker, I just made some short extension cords to use. I will buy again!

> 3 dayI purchased this to use on outdoor porch for a strand of lights that ran the perimeter. Although the porch is exposed to elements the plug was against the wall under a four foot overhang. Its incredibly convenient to have Alexa turn the lights on/off and it can easily be controlled by phone app when Im away in order to give appearance of someone home. Although my product stopped working outside the 30 days to return it was within the one year warranty. Fiona in customer service could not have been easier to work with. It was all online through email but she and her team completely took care of me and expedited a new unit at no cost to me under their one year warranty. Sometimes it is like pulling teeth to get help, not with Meross, job well done!!!
