> 3 dayThis is my second meross product after their smart plugs. I plugged it in, pressed the + sign on the app, chose smart outdoor plug and Next and it was installed. it automatically integrated into my Alexa Meross devices. The whole process was painless. Each outlet can be individually addressed or both together. I moved it outside, plugged in my outdoor lighting and immediate connection to my network and the socet powered on and off perfectly. Now, will it last over time? Dont know, but for starters it is a 5 star device but 4 because it is not the least expensive out there.

> 3 dayThis Smart Plug controller is great. It was fast and easy to set up. I put it on my 2.4 GHz guest wifi, and it connected on the first try. I have other Meross devices too. I have 2 wifi garage door controllers which also work very well. I recommend this controller.

> 3 dayThis handy device is just what the doctor ordered for our outdoor Christmas lights. In the past we have used a timer with a dusk sensor. The problem was when a cars headlights hit the sensor it would shut off the Christmas lights, thinking it was daytime. We also had a problem with our outdoor lights, and our spotlights, fooling the sensor. This device, being connected to the internet, knows when sunset is, so it bases its schedule on that rather than a light sensor. It has worked like a champ. Setup was fairly simple if you follow the directions carefully (I didnt at first). I havent tested Google Assistant nor Alexa functionality so I cant comment on that. Weve had it outside for several weeks and it has performed flawlessly.

> 3 dayI bought this to control a pond pump outside. In my experience the thing that distinguishes Meross wireless switches from others is the ease and peace-of-mind of connecting it to your wireless network. First you install the Meross app on your phone (in my case an iPhone). When the switch receives power for the first time, it creates its own temporary local WiFi network whose name will be something like Meross_SW_abc123. You connect your phones wifi to this network, and the Meross app connects to the switch over that network. Then you tell the app which home network you want the switch to connect to under normal operation, and the password for that network. And then youre done. For folks like me, who want to be careful to keep their smart devices on a separate Guest network because you dont 100% trust them and dont want them to be able to talk to your home intranet, this setup lets you do that. You never have to enter in your main home network credentials. This is in contrast to some other smart switches Ive seen that are very unclear about which network they need and why. The WiFi signal is good too. My switch is plugged in outside about 100 feet from the router. According the the Meross app the signal strength is at 20%. But I havent had any problems controlling it.

> 3 dayThe first unit I bought didn’t work reliably with homekit, so I sent it back for a replacement. The second unit got really hot and it’s housing melted. I probably had too much plugged into it, not sure as I didn’t add up the wattages of all the Christmas lights, but it has a tag stating not to go over 400w. It should have had a reset switch that trips to prevent drawing too much power and subsequently potential fires. This melted outside when it was in the single digits Fahrenheit.

Greater than one weekHomekit compatible smart plugs in general were expensive compared to non-Homekit years ago. This has changed, yes, still more expensive. But to not have to use multiple smart apps for each switch is a mental life-saver. Setup was easy scanning the QR code and adding it to the Home app. I did download the Meross app after and if you allow it to connect to your network it will find the plug to see if there are any firmware updates without having to setup the dimmer in the Meross app. So good, I bought a second one for future light additions.

Greater than one weekBought two of these to operate my landscape lighting. I just turn on my transformers, plug them into this plug and set up automation in my Home app. Love that they integrate well with HomeKit.
