> 24 hourWorked great with Alexa positioned about 75 feet away through a wall. Easily integrated with Alexa, and the Meross app. Can control via phone when away from house just like other smart devices.

> 24 hourI really like Meross. This is probably the 5th or 6th product that I’ve purchased from this brand. Like every other purchase, this smart outdoor outlet is easily set up in a minute or two, and integrates seamlessly with my other Meross products via the app. (no problems with the app either, yay!) I used this for my Christmas lights and blow up Olaf yard deco so I don’t have to go in and out every evening and unplug before I go to bed. Giving 4 stars out of 5 because the rubber socket cover gets in the way when you have two cords plugged in at once so I had to rip it off.

> 24 hourI bought this to control a pond pump outside. In my experience the thing that distinguishes Meross wireless switches from others is the ease and peace-of-mind of connecting it to your wireless network. First you install the Meross app on your phone (in my case an iPhone). When the switch receives power for the first time, it creates its own temporary local WiFi network whose name will be something like Meross_SW_abc123. You connect your phones wifi to this network, and the Meross app connects to the switch over that network. Then you tell the app which home network you want the switch to connect to under normal operation, and the password for that network. And then youre done. For folks like me, who want to be careful to keep their smart devices on a separate Guest network because you dont 100% trust them and dont want them to be able to talk to your home intranet, this setup lets you do that. You never have to enter in your main home network credentials. This is in contrast to some other smart switches Ive seen that are very unclear about which network they need and why. The WiFi signal is good too. My switch is plugged in outside about 100 feet from the router. According the the Meross app the signal strength is at 20%. But I havent had any problems controlling it.

> 24 hourFor those of you having difficulty getting this smart plug to work on your router or need a Mac Address to connect it to your router, check to see if Mac Filtering is enabled on your router. It may have a similar name other than Mac Filtering, but you will need to disable it. Once disable, go through the instructions on the Merross app on your smart phone or iPhone to install the smart plug. Once it is installed (shouldnt take long), you can go to the plug in the app and get the plug info from the app... the Mac Address will be there. Then you can add the Mac Address to your router filter, enable Mac Filtering on the router and then it will take a few minutes, but you should be good to go. Its a hassle, but it works. For those using Alexa, I havent figured that part out yet, but it still needs to be installed first using the instructions above before you can add it to your Alexa.

> 24 hour1) It took calling customer service to get it workin even tho I have other meross devices. And have experience setting up devices to Alexa. After 40 mins w customer service it works well!! Still does 2 months later!! 2)The outlets are too close to use withwider external plugs. We had to use an adapter to use more than one plug.

> 24 hourOnce again, a search for “outdoor dimmer smart plug” turns up a product that doesn’t actually dim. Product is great - works for what it is - a smart on/off plug. Exchanging. C’mon Amazon you’re killing me.

> 24 hourI have had the outdoor switch running now for a couple months with no issues. BTW, kudos to Meross for great customer support. A dimmer switch (MSS560) purchased in May, 2019 became intermittent in February 2020 and then failed to connect but still worked manually. I contacted Meross customer support with an offer to send the switch back for troubleshooting if they were interested in doing a teardown not expecting anything else. I was told that warranty was for one year and if I would email an Amazon receipt they would send a replacement. The replacement arrived and is working fine. I did not even have to send the failed switch back. I have multiple Meross Smart Switches in our house working now for over a year and this was the first and only failure.
