> 3 dayAn easy to use, inexpensive way to get started with HomeKit. This little smart plug is easy to set up on iOS: Launch the Home app, click the +, choose Add Accessory and scan the barcode. Ensure the smart plug is plugged in and it should show up, ready to give it a name and icon and start turning your item on and off. I purchased the two pack to control a lamp in my office and one in my wifes sewing room. Once it is set up in the Home app, you can use Siri to control it or create Apple Shortcuts for more advance automation. I named mine Office Lamp, and I can just use my watch or phone and say turn on my office lamp, etc. You can do a lot more with automations and shortcuts. I would recommend these to someone getting into home automation. I liked these so much I ordered another 2-pack.

> 3 dayI use Apple HomeKit as my hub, so the selection of supported devices is somewhat limited (although appears to be getting better). For Smart Plugs, I have been using Koogeek: -- I have used them for years -- I have about 10 of them I needed a few more Smart Plugs, and I was happy to see some relatively cheap options. After reading the reviews, I decided to try the Meross Smart Plug Mini. I am not disappointed. -- The price was pretty good at about $12 apiece. -- The plugs are well-built and straightforward. -- The form factor of the plugs is good. They do not cover up neighboring outlets. -- Installation was simple once I read the directions. A couple of tips: a) Make sure you install the Meross App and grant it permissions before you begin. (You will want to use the App to update the firmware of the devices.) b) Make sure to connect to your 2.4GHz band. c) Installation involves connecting to both the 2.4GHz band as well as a config network provided by the device. If you have multiple networks, make sure to turn off AutoJoin on all but the desired 2.4GHz band. d) You may have issues if your 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands share the same network name. I bought four of these plugs. After I figured out the above (which took me about 10-15 minutes), I was able to set up all four of my devices in about 10 minutes. They work great - and they can be grouped with my Koogeek switches as well. Very pleased so far. I will update this review if I experience any problems in the future, but at this point I would recommend these smart plugs.

> 3 dayThis product works amazing with iPhone HomeKit. I was presently surprised that they worked as well as they do and the setup was extremely easy. Just follow the instructions and be sure to be connected to your home WiFi and they will work good. Will be using for Christmas lights and I have the other one in the garage hooked up to a heater so I don’t have to walk my lazy self out there is -30 weather to turn it on.

Greater than one weekI’ve been using these for about 3 months now to control my exterior patio lights. They started out great with easy setup and fast connection via HomeKit. They stayed connected well until the temperatures here in Minnesota started dropping below freezing. To be fair, the description does say these are only rated for use above 32F… but I have multiple other smart accessories (plugs, bulbs, doorbell, cameras, etc) from more well known brands that have had the same (or worse) exposure to the cold and are still operating just fine. Additionally, updating these plugs is kinda wonky and buggy in my experience.

> 3 dayWhen it comes to cost and quality, these hit both. Setup was easy, it reacts really quick over HomeKit. Just wish it was a little smaller and closer to the wall.

22-11-2024Easy to set up with the Apple Home app, does not need the Meross app. I’m careful about data leaking out so I won’t allow a manufacturer app for setup or operation. But these smart plugs work just fine with Apple’s Home app for setup and Siri for commands.
