> 3 dayI added the Meross switch to HomeKit via the Home app on my iPhone, plugged it in, said “hey siri turn on the living room lights”, and the lights came on like the first day of Genesis. It’s literally that simple to setup.

> 3 dayAfter buying (and liking) their HomeKit compatible garage opener, I decided to stay with the Meross brand and try out their Meross Smart Plug Minis as well (I bought the 2-pack). I liked the fact that they did not require me to install yet another hub device just to use them (unlike Belkin, Phillips, etc.) and installation and setup was very easy and quick; I had each smart plug added to HomeKit and ready to control in about a minute! The smart plug response is pretty good, and they seem to stay connected and ready to control without any hiccups (unlike some off-brand smart plugs I tried before that kept disconnecting or losing a signal). Two things of note - they do not have a function to show power consumption, and the LED light on the side of the smart plug (to show the on/off state) is very tiny. Aside from that, there is nothing at all to complain about these smart plugs. So, if youre looking for HomeKit-compatible smart plugs that just work with no hassle (easy setup, no extra hub required) the Meross Smart Plug Minis are an excellent choice!

Greater than one weekThese plugs seem like simple, no-nonsense, classic Apple “it just works” compatible. Added 4 of these plugs and some LED bulbs via HomeKit within a few minutes. Totally painless. Works great with automations and Siri commands (zones/scenes/etc.). Zero problems, very happy for the price. Have an outdoor plug I haven’t played with yet. Have been using Meross’ garage door opener for 1.5 years with no issues and just moved into a remodeled home I want to take a first plunge into home automation with. So far I’m not disappointed.

> 3 dayIts easy to recommend these Meross smart plugs, especially for HomeKit users. Ive been using them for years and they have been one of the most, if not thee most reliable HomeKit product I own. Aside from the occasional firmware update, theyre always on and available. Simple as that!

Greater than one weekThese plugs worked fine for a while, then they did a firmware update and they no longer work correctly, they will still turn on and off but the status on my Echo 10 always reads off no matter if the plug is on or off the status never changes, I am about ready to pack them all up and send them back to Amazon,.just as a side note I bought two more of there plugs with a different firmware and those two work fine, I am also running the latest firmware on the plugs that don’t work I just updated a couple days ago, they seem to work fine on Apple home kit but if you use Alexa your probably goi g to have a problem, at least I did, and yes I did reset the plugs it didn’t help

> 3 dayI cannot for the life of me get these to join my Home app (iOS). I have an eero mesh network and Ive followed every walkthrough I can find (mostly around disabling 5G temporarily) to no avail. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ They came highly rated and maybe its just me.

> 3 dayI use Apple HomeKit as my hub, so the selection of supported devices is somewhat limited (although appears to be getting better). For Smart Plugs, I have been using Koogeek: -- I have used them for years -- I have about 10 of them I needed a few more Smart Plugs, and I was happy to see some relatively cheap options. After reading the reviews, I decided to try the Meross Smart Plug Mini. I am not disappointed. -- The price was pretty good at about $12 apiece. -- The plugs are well-built and straightforward. -- The form factor of the plugs is good. They do not cover up neighboring outlets. -- Installation was simple once I read the directions. A couple of tips: a) Make sure you install the Meross App and grant it permissions before you begin. (You will want to use the App to update the firmware of the devices.) b) Make sure to connect to your 2.4GHz band. c) Installation involves connecting to both the 2.4GHz band as well as a config network provided by the device. If you have multiple networks, make sure to turn off AutoJoin on all but the desired 2.4GHz band. d) You may have issues if your 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands share the same network name. I bought four of these plugs. After I figured out the above (which took me about 10-15 minutes), I was able to set up all four of my devices in about 10 minutes. They work great - and they can be grouped with my Koogeek switches as well. Very pleased so far. I will update this review if I experience any problems in the future, but at this point I would recommend these smart plugs.

> 3 dayThe app was useless for setup. Kept telling me that I was not connected to WiFi then led me to the WiFi on my iPhone. Under the settings in Meross app it looked like it was turned on for the network. Reset my iPhone network settings as instructed if problems continue with recognizing my wifi . Didn’t work. Reset the smart plug by holding in the power button. Still wouldn’t connect. I eventually connected both plugs directly through my HomeKit. Still cannot get the 2nd plug to show up in the Meross app. I was directed to do a firmware update on the first plug and was able to do that through the Meross app, but cannot find the plug in the app to do the update for the 2nd plug. I guess my next step will be to delete the Meross app and redos load it and try again. I am able to use both plugs and set up automations but ONLY through HomeKit.
