Added very easy to HomeKit and works just as good as my wemo ones. No need to pay for the name when they do the same thing.

Overall the devices work pretty well. However, on a few occasions when I need to reboot my router, the Meross devices will say No Response in the HomeKit app after the router is back online. It sometimes takes two or more router reboots before the No Response errors disappears. My other HomeKit devices do not have any issues after a router reboot. Just the Meross drvices. Meross Tech Support has provided recommendations, but think it may be a HomeKit bug. Even though there may be an occasional HomeKit glitch, it always works in the native app. Meross is still more reliable than the Wemo devices that these replaced. If it wasnt for the No Response error, the devices would be rated five stars. If there are firmware updates that correct the No Response issues, I will revise rating to five.

I had tried to do the smart bulbs for what seems like an eternity. I couldnt get it figured our. I happened across these. I didnt have high expectations because of the super low price. But why not? So I ordered a set. They work! I was so pleasantly surprised. They are easy to install, download the app, easy to integrate with alexa. Set a time for them to turn on and off. Easy peasy! Absolutely recommend!

An easy to use, inexpensive way to get started with HomeKit. This little smart plug is easy to set up on iOS: Launch the Home app, click the +, choose Add Accessory and scan the barcode. Ensure the smart plug is plugged in and it should show up, ready to give it a name and icon and start turning your item on and off. I purchased the two pack to control a lamp in my office and one in my wifes sewing room. Once it is set up in the Home app, you can use Siri to control it or create Apple Shortcuts for more advance automation. I named mine Office Lamp, and I can just use my watch or phone and say turn on my office lamp, etc. You can do a lot more with automations and shortcuts. I would recommend these to someone getting into home automation. I liked these so much I ordered another 2-pack.

The Meross Smart Plug does work but not very well. When you set up the plug a 2.4Ghz wifi connection is needed. If you have a dual band router make sure all your Apple devices, iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, HomePod are on the 2.4Ghz band. The Meross App is also needed however the plugs are set up from the HomeKit app. One of my plugs works fine but the other that is further away from the router does not. You need to be very close to the plug to turn it on and off and Siri does not work. The second plug is set up to come on at sunset and can only remain on for 4 hours. A simple timer may work better if you want your light to stay on longer.

I purchased a 2 pack in November 2021. One of the devices stopped working within the 1 year warranty period. Contacted Meross support and they replaced it right away.

I was looking for a compatible Apple HomeKit plug that I could use for my home office connectivity. I have a Work From Home router that connects back to my corporate network with wireless connectivity. I didnt want the WFH router to be available during non-working hours. I purchased a two pack of the Meross plugs and was surprised with how simple it was. I was able to add the plug through the HomeKit app without a 3rd part app download. I didnt have big challenges with the 2.4/5GHz interoperability you sometimes see with smart plugs. Many times this comes from your device being on the 5GHz and the HomeKit device not honoring because of 2.4GHz use only. Its been connected now for about 4 weeks with no issues. Ive lost power in the house once and the device came back to HomeKit when power was restored. I use automation to turn off and on the connected device during work hours.

Its easy to recommend these Meross smart plugs, especially for HomeKit users. Ive been using them for years and they have been one of the most, if not thee most reliable HomeKit product I own. Aside from the occasional firmware update, theyre always on and available. Simple as that!

Outlets were easy to install via HomeKit. I did not use the Meross app and they have been working fine for the two weeks I have had them installed. I would recommend these outlets for price and functionality.
