Overall, I love this product. However, one of my wireless plugs has hiccups occasionally and won’t respond in my Apple home hub, which is where I control my smart switches and plugs through. If I go through the Meross app it works fine though. A little frustrating but not the biggest deal. Plugs work well besides that one hiccup

I put this smart switch on my Christmas tree and now I control it from the Home app on my iPhone. It works perfect. I recommend it.

Overall the devices work pretty well. However, on a few occasions when I need to reboot my router, the Meross devices will say No Response in the HomeKit app after the router is back online. It sometimes takes two or more router reboots before the No Response errors disappears. My other HomeKit devices do not have any issues after a router reboot. Just the Meross drvices. Meross Tech Support has provided recommendations, but think it may be a HomeKit bug. Even though there may be an occasional HomeKit glitch, it always works in the native app. Meross is still more reliable than the Wemo devices that these replaced. If it wasnt for the No Response error, the devices would be rated five stars. If there are firmware updates that correct the No Response issues, I will revise rating to five.

For whatever reason, the first one in the package paired perfectly without any issues. The second one repeatedly failed to link to HomeKit. I emailed support and they responded with a list of troubleshooting steps. I tried all of them and none worked. Emailed support back and never heard anything else.

I am waiting for support to get back with something so that I can get this hooked up to HomeKit. So far no luck. I will update this if that changes before I get over the wait and return them for something I know works. Support replied to me and has been very very helpful. They have identified a problem impacting a small number of users, of course I always seem to be this user for everyone LOL Anyway after several emails, and videos they were able to do something and advised that these plugs NEED to be connected to HomeKit First, then add them to their App after they are in HomeKit. I am assuming either they or Apple who they told me they were in contact with cleared something so they could be added, but it might have been just time and they rolled out of the system since they had not connected. Either way, I had them sitting aside while support and I discussed the issue and when I went to try it again, I was able to add them to HomeKit then add them to their Meross App. Very happy to have this resolved and with the great support I received. I am giving this 4 stars because it should not have taken all of this to get them to work, but I there should be another rating for support and I give them 5 Stars for all the help.

After not being able to install the plug on two separate occasions I gave it a 1 star rating; however after working with the vendor I was able to successfully install the plug. I now give it a 4 star rating.

Like other reviewers, I was extremely disappointed in this products inability to connect to HomeKit. After all, this is one of the few smart plugs to support HomeKit so youd think theyd make sure it worked. To be fair, this is the second batch of these plugs I purchased. I had no problems adding the first batch to HomeKit. Everything worked correctly. However, that was a while back and iOS has been updated and the outlets have had several firmware upgrades since then. My guess is that some incompatibility now exists that hasnt been addressed. The crazy part is, in order to upgrade the firmware, the plug first needs to be added to HomeKit! So if theres a bug in the firmware preventing the connection, then it appears there is no way to update the firmware to resolve it. A very poorly thought out design. What happens when trying to add it to HomeKit is that you first scan the code, the phone connects to the outlet, some information apparently gets updated because the plug reboots, but then things stop. I believe the outlet isnt updating correctly because you can see it doesnt join the home WiFi network. After the update, it still shows its setup network and the led is still blinking green and amber. Whatever is or isnt happening, I must have tried 15 times with two outlets and never got either of them to connect. I reset them, made sure my 5ghz network was turned off, rebooted the phone, tried a different device, disabled HomeKit on the router, etc. Thats a lot of troubleshooting for something that should work out-of-the-box. Finally, I reached out to support and have yet to hear anything back. Support appears to be by email only which means a bunch of back and forth telling me to do things Ive already tried. Its not worth the hassle. These are being returned.

These plugs seem like simple, no-nonsense, classic Apple “it just works” compatible. Added 4 of these plugs and some LED bulbs via HomeKit within a few minutes. Totally painless. Works great with automations and Siri commands (zones/scenes/etc.). Zero problems, very happy for the price. Have an outdoor plug I haven’t played with yet. Have been using Meross’ garage door opener for 1.5 years with no issues and just moved into a remodeled home I want to take a first plunge into home automation with. So far I’m not disappointed.

First of all, these work great and Id certainly buy again. I got them because I have a few in-wall Meross dimmer switches, and figured why install another app! I ran into an issue during setup, but found a solution and wanted to make people aware here: I was able to add the switch in homekit and have it respond, but as soon as I tried to add it in the Meross app, it would restart, and not reconnect to Wifi (the light would just blink and blink). The solution? Be really patient! After resetting and restarting a bunch of times, I finally just paired with homekit, added in Meross, and WAITED. It sat there for over an hour blinking, then finally connected, appeared in the Meross app, and was able to install firmware updates. No further issues. TL;DR -- just let it sit!

When it comes to cost and quality, these hit both. Setup was easy, it reacts really quick over HomeKit. Just wish it was a little smaller and closer to the wall.
