> 3 dayI bought this to act as a dumb switch for homekit so I can automate when the switch comes on to do something else like open garage door, or unlock level bolt for the door. But since I didnt want both the garage and door to work at the same time this one switch controls each outlet independently. So I have one outlet on the switch for one action automation, and the other for another automation action . Now I just hid it behind the bed and out of sight without the need to buy two separate switches plugged into two of my wall outlets. And its one less thing I have to put on the wifi, and one less thing I have to set up.

> 3 dayThese are my 3rd Meross product, two wall switches. TOTALLY RELIABLE. I see them doing automatic updates, programming is a snap on either their app or on HomeKit. Some have questioned Meross not having 5g, its not necessary and in fact it create more problems. 5g if for high speed data transfer and has a MUCH SHORTER RANGE. Not needed for a switch. Im running a Amplifi mesh and they connect with zero issues. Note, I do have WEMOs also and the amount of frustration with them cant be overstated. My only wish for the Meross wall switches is that they be made SMALLER in depth, in a multi-gang box they are very hard to get in, especially if you had an electrician that was on the ball and used slightly heavier gauge wiring.

> 3 dayThey work with HomeKit, I don’t use Alexa, no such thing as privacy there. I also don’t use the Meross app, no privacy there either, don’t need it anyway. It would be nice if these used Bluetooth instead of taking up bandwidth, since people use so many. Eve is nice using Bluetooth.

Greater than one weekIve been using Meross smart plugs in combination with my Google Home system since December, 2018. Theyve been reliable almost 100% of the time. So far, these seem just as good. Ill include a few screenshots of the control/customizations options youll have on your phone. I like that I can control the two devices on the plug at once, or control them separately. You can name the pair, as well as name the individual devices. It seems to work just as youd want it to. And you get a physical button on the front of the plug!

> 3 dayHave tried TWO different sets of these and in both cases one of them buzzes. Intermittent electrical sounds dont seem safe to me, so am sending back.

> 3 dayI have two, both went non-responsive after a firmware update. Unplugged it, put it back after two minutes or so and it worked again.

Greater than one week[Edit] The support team reached out and asked for details of the problem. And then they sent me a replacement which works great. I thought they would ask me to update my review but it has been a month now and they never asked, despite providing a replacement. Which is the reason I am updating this review on my own. It is only fair. [Previously] I bought four of these and one worked ok for a couple of months and then started flashing amber continuously and stopped working. I followed instructions and tried resetting it but that doesnt do anything.

> 3 dayThese are great plugs and having wifi is better than Bluetooth devices. Bluetooth rely on phones and devices connected to the hub where as wifi can use your wifi router or mesh.

> 3 dayGreat Homekit plugs, especially with the two outlets being individually controlled. My only gripe is the very weird power cycling that occurs anytime my WiFi drops off. If the plugs are on and I need to reset my WiFi for any reason, my house turns into a poltergeist of lights turning on and off randomly until a connection can be reestablished. These are the only plugs that do that and can be quite annoying.
