> 24 hourLong over due review, as Ive already owned and sold this lens and moved on to FX. That said, if youre running a APS-C Nikon, this is a fantastically sharp lens to add to your collection, for as cheap as they come. Compared to a kit lens this thing is SHARP, fast (better low light!), and has great bokeh and color reproduction. Great portraits, wide enough for group shots and some landscape stuff, and focuses closely so you can get in on whatever else. Just gotta use your legs a bit. The first FX lens I got was the replacement to this (50mm f/1.8 FX), as I knew just what a great walk around lens this was.

> 24 hourNot sure why people call this a wide angle lens. Its good in low light, but not wide angle. Im disappointed.

> 24 hourI was a bit skeptical before I bought this lens, but this is definitely worth the buy. The lens is sharp and fast. Pictures are clear. The lens is good for low light, and shallow depth of field. It is way better than the kit lens that came with the camera (Nikon D5300). Amazing.

> 24 hourReceived it fast -- ahead of schedule. Advertised as including a 58mm UV filter. That is a mistake in the description. No UV filter was included and the actual lens diameter is 52mm. So I guess it was never meant to included in the first place. Amazon needs to correct the product listing. Focus seems to run a little slow on auto-focus -- sometimes needs a little manual focus override to touch up the sharpness -- the lens occasionally seems to focus on something other than what the user considers to be the the primary object. This fixed moderate wide angle standard lens is sometimes more convenient than using with a wide-to-standard zoom. Prefer this over a 50-55mm focal length. The f/1.8 makes for better available light hand-held fotos than a slower lens.

> 24 hourLightweight, straight ahead fast 50 (for your crop sensor). Its a little dangerous to say that it cant take a bad picture but seriously: slap this on a D3200 and put a SB400 flash on top and youve got a truly powerful, small package.

> 24 hourschießt perfekte Fotos und man lernt richtig damit zu Fotografieren und nicht zu knippsen da man mehr flexibilität mit der Blende hat.

> 24 hourI cant fathom why it took me so long to get a prime lens for my setup. This lens is a great tool to take nearly perfect pictures. I tried it out at a birthday party and it allowed me to take great photos (f/1.8) without the use of a flash. It is very light weight and doesnt add hardly any weight to my D90, which in turn means my camera hangs from my neck easily. It also worked great catching the kids outside swinging a bat at a pinata. Very well priced. Buy this lens and you will also wonder why it took you so long.

> 24 hourThis lens is too great. Ive just been using my kit lenses and switching to this is like a whole new world. The bokeh is so amazing. heres some pictures I took just playing around with it. I cant wait to do a shoot this week using this lens.

> 24 hourI dont want to write a really long review since most of those get skipped so let me keep it short. This is the best lens I own! It works incredible in lower light situations. The focal point is spectacular and can make what would be a very boring photo really come to life. If you dont own a similar lens then this will instantly become your favorite. EVERYONE should own this lens, especially if you take product, portrait, up close or low light photos. The images this lens helps me capture are stunning.

> 24 hourFue amor a primer disparo. Me encantó enseguida.
