I use this lense in my Nikon D5000 and it does magic. It is other go to lens when I need a little bit more room.

Got this lens as recommended by Ken Rockwell. WONDERFUL for low light situations. Took it on my trip to Mexico, and WOW! images came out really sharp and crisp, and night shots without using a flash were possible. I have a 18-250mm lens as a general use lens, but the f stop is limited to 3.5, so most night shots need flash. With this lens, you have to move closer to your subject, or back up to get a wider view, but the 1.8 f stop makes it all worth it. Very inexpensive too, but being made mostly of plastic I guess accounts for this. At least the bayonet mount part is metal.....

This is a great lens and for <200 bucks you cant get a better deal. Amazing in low-light. Incredible bokeh (blurring of items that are intentionally left out of the field of focus). My wife uses it for food photography for her food blog and we use it for every-day use as well. Pair this with a zoom lens (we pair it with our 55-300mm lens) and you have a great combo.

I got this for portrait shots and it works perfect. It is made for the DX format and is equal to 52.5m FX lens. So it is worth it to save money over the 50m lens and stll get quality shots. It works great with the F1.8 apacher and is not noticeably different than the f1.4 on the 50m. To me it is well worth it to get this lens.

Took this lens on my last vacation and used only this throughout the trip from day to evening, street photography to landscapes. Performed well and great pictures. First experience with prime lens and had good experience with it. No complaints.
