35mm lenses are used for a variety of things. I use it for a multitude of situations and it hasnt let me down yet.

Perfect fit

When I first started experimenting with photography, I was using an old Nikormat with a 50MM lens. I really loved a lot of the pictures I took with that setup. Ive now ended up with a Nikon D300s and mostly use a 18-200MM lens. Its captured many great shots, but Ive never been completely happy with closeups of people and pets. Until I bought this lens.

I like the lens...but find that I swich back to my zoom lens and use it more often. Im sure I could use more practice with it...but thats not the lens fault...

As a new photographer just getting started the amount and cost of the equipment can be overwhelming. This is the first prime lens I purchased, also the first non-kit lens. I can definitely tell a difference in the quality of the lens. I must say I am spoiled with the convenience of the zoom lenses and would like to invest in a better quality wide angle zoom in the future. For now, I will make due with what I have, and anytime I want my lens to be fast or super sharp, this is the lens I go to. Thanks Nikon for making a quality lens that I could actually afford.

This is a great lens for taking professional looking portraits and other photographs. I use it with my Nikon D3000 camera.

My first prime lens! Ive been using this for my Nikon D3300. Pictures are crisp and AF is working well. This became my favorite lens now :)

Something must be wrong, every time i try to take this off my D40 growls at me.

The package was fantastic.. seal was intack .. the inner box packing was good.. safety taken of lense. First impressions good way to start a day with 35mm lense . Good shallow depth of field
