Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 35mm f/1.8G Lens with Auto Focus for Nikon DSLR Cameras, 2183, Black

I own a Nikon D40 camera, and wanted a lens with a low aperture and good focal length. While I am not a professional photographer (i.e. I dont get paid to take photos) I do have enough knowledge to have an idea of what I want out of a lens. I have to admit I have been having too much fun playing around with narrow depths of field and learning the ins and outs of using a fixed lens. But this is a great quality lens for the money. Ive been able to get some great low light shots, as well as lovely portrait shots. The focal length isnt short enough that you can do really tight marco-shots, but if you know how to use your camera, you can still end up with some really great close-up images. For the price and the quality of the lens, Id highly recommend this product.

I am new in photography but wanted to get a better lens to get better. I have the Nikon DX3500. This fit well and huge improvement from the stock however I ended up getting a 50mm and liked it better. I may get this again some day but for someone new I am happy with the 50mm.

Tiene un calidad buenisima por su precio, en condiciones de pocal luz es muy bueno y para retratos si sabes situarte en una zona con buena iluminacion exterior va genial

On the box is writen that they are non dimmable. When I ckecked questions before I bought it it was written they are dimmable.

El un objetivo considerado Prime, tiene un genial desenfoque, una luminosidad sorprendente, al igual que velocidad de enfoque y manejo sencillo. Es muy cómodo y ligero, ideal para llevarlo y hacer fotos rápidas en cualquier situación.

Les recomiendo ampliamente este lente. Lo compre para mi Nikon D5500 y la calidad de las imágenes es sorprendente para el precio del lente. El lente tiene mucha apertura, así que es muy luminoso, por lo que es ideal para fotos sin flash en situaciones de poca luz, y ademas, obtenemos la posibilidad de tomar fotos con poca profundidad de campo (bokeh), lo que hace que las imágenes tomadas con este lente se vean más profesionales y resalten bastante sobre las fotos tomadas con un kit lens o un celular de alta gama como el iPhone 6S o Samsung Galaxy 7 (por ejemplo).

Dovendo ampliare il set di obiettivi per la mia Nikon D5500 e volendo anche realizzare alcuni video la mia scelta è ricaduta su questo. Davvero eccellente per risultati che è in grado di esprimere, soprattutto per fotografie (ritratti) o video ravvicinati, leffetto bokeh è straordinario. Ottimi i tempi di consegna ed imballo sicuro.

Amazing better than my other lenses

04 September 2011 - Im updating this review after several months with this lens. My opinion is still the same, this lens is fantastic!It is my default lens still, and becomes better as I become more familiar with it. Its on my camera 98% of the time, and cranks out better and better exposures as my skill improves. Get one! Its fantastic value.
