> 24 hourSubscription renewed automatically at $103.00. My fault for not disabling Auto-Renew, but I never received an advance notice for bank account debit. I checked Spam folder and it was not there. My checking account was overdrawn. You cannot simply ask for a credit. Someone overseas argued with me for a while, then tried to sell me another less expensive subscription. I repeated cancel, cancel, cancel, and finally I got my credit. I was on the phone for 30 min, first trying to reach someone, then fighting with the Customer Service rep. What a pain, I do not recommend this product due to the sad customer support.

> 24 hourI installed the software on three different operating systems with three different versions of Windows - Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10. For Windows 7, when the software download completed, it had trouble connecting to the Norton system. After clicking retry 3 or 4 times, it finally connected to the Norton website and completed the installation. The software can create a load on Windows 7, slowing down the system to a screeching halt. Even though the scan was cancelled, it seems to continue running in the background. The Windows 8 and 10 systems run better with the software. My one dislike is the fact that even though the Norton version I paid for through Amazon came with a key code, I was still required to enter my credit card information to proceed with the first download, allowing an automatic renewal of the software when it expires. I have enabled the option to shut off automatic renewal, as there is no indication of what the renewal price will be. I like the option to customize a daily scan time at 2am on one computer, and 3am on the other two computers. I hope this software is effective in blocking viruses and ransomware on my computers.

> 24 hourWhat I dont like is the constant pop ups to either upgrade or to buy other Norton products. This is annoying to say the least.

> 24 hourThis was installed on multiple Macs with different operating systems including Catalina and Mojave. Same bug occurs with Nortons VPN. Even when it is not activated it hogs the CPU and will cause MacBook fans to start running (overheating). Tried Norton support and removed VPN from prefs network panel which was no help. In addition it (VPN) unexpectedly quits. I have found it turned itself off after the system sleeps, and at other unexpected times it just shuts off. This VPN is bundled as part of the Norton 360 product and I was told by Norton support it can not be separately removed. Run away from this product on OSX. Norton was not interested in helping with a refund etc. Amazon was excellent in doing so.

> 24 hourIve been using Norton for quite a number of years. Seems to me it does what its supposed to do. Its easy to install. I ordered the Key Card Version so I have the physical product key in my closet. Years ago I read reviews regarding Norton; i.e. renewal agreements, key card vs download key, magazine articles comparing security suites, etc. Heres the bottom line: Norton 360 Deluxe appears to be a good product; however, it rankles the heck out of me regarding their marketing by means of automatic renewals. Theyre unclear just enough to make uninitiated users wary of how to purchase the product and how much to spend. Not all users pay the same price for the same product. To make it worse, seems to me those with little understanding or knowledge of whats happening pay the most. Yes, I know many software companies are using the subscription route to software marketing, and many use auto renewal. I find that disturbing. Ive been a devoted user for years and I have to guard against Norton walking me into a renewal at a price triple/quad what I can pay just by buying a new subscription -- yes, they call it a subscription. I only own the product for a use period of one year. Then, if Im not paying attention, theyll hit me with an exorbitant renewal charge. To make matters more dubious, at the end of the subscription, Norton will send you an offer of renewal for actually less than buying a retail new subscription, but includes a prominent disclaimer that it will renew for four times the offer theyre dangling in front of you. I couldnt get Norton support to tell me if that was a cancellable subscription or if I was committed to the much, much higher rate a year in the future. So, I went back to my technique of buying a new retail subscription, at the lowest price I could find, because I knew I could then immediately cancel the auto renewal as soon as I had it installed. I have the new Key Card in my possession, then on the day the old subscrption expires, I install the new. What a stupid, stupid process. Apparently, Norton makes more money by this devious/dubious marketing technique than they would by respecting current customers or by pushing annoyed customers to try another product. You have to take care of yourself. Other marketers are using the same technique.
