I normally never check luggage but have needed to on a couple recent trips. The best thing about this is how easily it glides. It never felt cumbersome at all. I also love how organized it stays with the two compartments and the internal compression is very user friendly. I love this so much I’m going to order the same version in the carry on size.

I like the maneuverability of this large checked luggage. I dont like the approx 55/45 split clamshell design because it then requires a larger area to pack or live out of the suitcase. A 85/15 split is probably ideal so I can just use that 15% to dedicate for folding suits or extra space.

With the hard divider for the laptop section, it leaves very little room to pack anything inside on that side. And then on the other side, the area that stores the handle, there is at least a 1/2 of dead space that cannot be used, leaving very little room to pack anything on that side as well. Be warned, it doesnt hold much of anything. The area showing is what is available, I smoothed down the lining to hug the hard plastic that encroaches the packing areas. And the exterior is 8 x 13, so also smaller than regulations require.

On my very first trip with the luggage, it came back to me this huge damage out of the airport carousel. I had no idea as to what happened to the bag over the travel. the durability of the bag must be compromised. Other than that, the bag itself meets my needs in functionality, manuevability, and light weight.

Was a lifelong Samsonite owner and decided to try the Travel Pro Elite 20 in. shell with laptop slot. Overall very good. Used it on three plane trips and two conferences. The good: strong body, excellent four wheel maneuverability, expandable to another inch or so, fits perfectly in overhead bin and is compliant with FAA regs, so never a worry no matter which airline you use, or the mood of the staff at check in. Very good for a short trip, or a week long trip if you have easy access to laundry machines. If you add a Travel Pro duffel bag, it’s perfect. The bad: After seven months, I was sliding the zipper that controls expandability and the pull broke off the zipper assembly. That’s when I first noticed it was made of cheap fake leather. This is unacceptable for a high end offering of luggage. Samsonite always used sturdy metal pulls on their outside zippers. A zipper for expandability will always receive more pull and stress. Was Travel Pro trying to save 50 cents on a $430 item? I then noticed the interior compartment zippers also contain the fake leather pulls on their zippers. When packing, the compartments expand and these pulls will eventually break. I had to purchase replacement metal pulls with carabiner mechanisms. Totally unacceptable for Travel Pro’s top offering. Hence the deduction of two stars for durability. Other than that, a solid, good-looking piece of luggage. However, I’m seriously disappointed in the cheap zipper pulls. Shame on Travel Pro.

That was me... my old clunky carry on falling over, tripping me up, and falling apart after only a few uses. NO MORE! This is the best luggage I have ever had. After looking around at the airport, I noticed what all the pilots and airline attendees were using and they all had a TravelPro. I knew what I had to do and I LOVE it.

Now that we are traveling again I am glad I found this suitcase. Wonderful quality.

I bought both the Briggs & Riley torq and the Travelpro 22 Carry On to see which one met my needs. I do many 3-4 day trips, and occasional 10 day trips out of a carry on for business. Sometimes, I carry a commercial Camera rig. So, I need volume when I need it, and convenience all the time. In this test, Travelpro was the hands down winner. Now Briggs usually sells a compression version but its been out of stock for quite a while everywhere. Too bad for them I guess. In general, I was surprised at the low quality of the Briggs for the price-- see the video. Youll see how it deforms.

I love everything Travel Pro. I was smitten (fell in love at first site kind of thing) with my first Travel Pro Backpack that was simply AMAZING. There was nothing that wasnt premium in its construction and it is my favorite bag I own, I use it EVERY TIME I TRAVEL.

First let me say I really dont need a carry-on. I already have one that I have been using for about 6 or 7 years now, Kenneth Cole Reaction 20. There is nothing wrong with the KC Reaction, I just was having the itch for something newer. The Travelpro Elite looks GREAT and looks better than the pictures. It does roll smoothly and quietly across the floor but I only tested on my hardwoods. Handle had a great feel to it. The zippers felt sturdy as well. I lined it up next to my KC Reaction and they were the same height, but the width and depth were smaller. When I opened the luggage is where I was supremely disappointed. At first I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me but no they were not. This luggage is very shallow. Then I put it to the packing test. It could not hold the same amount of clothes ( 6 days worth) that I easily packed in my KC Reaction. Now Im not a small guy so if you are less the 250 lbs your clothes probably uses less fabric than mine so you may have use for this beautiful luggage. I may try the softside but I think I will go with a competitor. Shame, I really wanted this to be my main travel piece.
