Greater than one weekThis is a very cheaply built suitcase

> 3 dayIt’s a great suitcase, about the biggest that can fit in overhead bin. Looks nice, sturdy handle and wheels. BUT the expansion zipper is poorly designed so the first time I went to zip it up, the zipper got misaligned. The main suitcase zipper is heavier-duty and works fine, but the expansion one is flimsy. It was pretty expensive compared to other carry-ons so I returned it after first use.

> 3 dayTravelling to Europe recently and wanted a spinner case as my wife and daughter like theirs so much on entering and exiting the airplane. I switched to Travelpro as so many pilots and cabin crew use them. Ive owned Eagle Creek, Tumi and Briggs and Riley in the past and the latter brand was going to be my choice until I chose Travelpro.

Greater than one weekI LOVE everything about this Travel Pro Spinner except for the handles. I do not know what Travel Pro was thinking with these handles. For starters, the plastic material they are made of is cheap as cheap can be. Secondly, I am a small boned woman with small hands and I can just barely get my fingers under them. I do not know how anyone bigger than me could manage these handles.

> 3 dayBeautiful piece of luggage but the wheels stick and it is not easy to maneuver. At this price point the wheels should be super adaptable

> 3 dayThe external dimensions of the Travelpro Platinum are the maximum allowable (not expanded) for overhead compartments on global flights (if the airline boarding attendants check the dimensions). I purchased this luggage for travel to Mexico. The ball bearing wheels are smooth and stable for rolling through airports (and boarding escalators using the two wheel rolling position). The interior is easy to pack and cram in clothing for a five day trip augmented by an under seat bag. The Platinum design stands out from the typical black roll aboard bags.

> 3 dayIm still in the process of using this Travelpro Platinum Elite Expandable Hardside Spinner bag. So far, it has gotten me through 6 airports on 3 trips. It is sized well for a carry-on, and I like the 2 zippered halves. I also wanted to lighten up my backpack, so I slid my Powerbook in the computer sleeve (accessible from the outside) into the case. It fit well, and I felt comfortable transporting it in there (although I would have taken it out if I had used this bag as check-on luggage). I dont use the battery slot function. Im good to go!
