> 3 dayI am a very frequent traveler (although not since early 2020, for obvious reasons). I have been using the same Travelpro Crew luggage for the last six years and I love this line. It has held up perfectly and, quite honestly, does not need to be replaced. However, Ive been very curious about the recent trend toward hard-sided luggage. To me, hard-sided luggage always looks and feels very 1960s, but I wanted to see what all of the hype is all about. I ordered several pieces from the Travelpro Platinum Elite series and they do not disappoint. I want to clarify this statement a bit by saying that I personally think I want to stick to soft-sided luggage. However, if you are in the market for hard-sided luggage, you will love some of the great features offered by this line.

> 3 dayUnfortunately I ordered the vintage grey model in time for an overseas move. Item arrived in the wrong color (black).

> 3 dayI purchased this luggage for a 2 week long vacation in Europe. After about 7 flights, this luggage managed to stay in great condition and was extremely easy to transport. You can pack a tremendous amount of stuff in this luggage and the zippers are great quality. I would recommend this over my Away luggage.

> 3 dayI bought this suitcase for a three week trip in Portugal. It was light and easy to roll. I steered it through airport corridors and along bumpy cobblestone sidewalks. Yes, the surface of the suitcase does scratch . But who cares? It’s a suitcase!

> 3 daySo Ive never owned high-end luggage like this before and therefore dont really have a frame of reference for luggage at this price point, but ultimately I love this bag! I decided to try the medium checked bag because we were in need of luggage at this size and currently have a few carry-on pieces already. The TravelPro Platinum Elite Expandable Medium Checked Bag arrived to me in great condition. It comes in its own drawstring sleeve that I guess you could use for storage. I was surprised at how lightweight the bag is, considering its size. Right off the bat, it felt sturdy from the outside, and even inside too I noticed its construction when I was packing. It has high-quality wheels that turn 360 degrees for easy maneuvering. The expandable handle is adjustable at different heights, and even at its highest still feels solid. The bag also has two stationary handles, one at the top and one on the side. The design of the bag feels refined and noticeable when looking for it at baggage claim. It has a built in lock, with a 3-digit code than you can set to whatever youd like. The bag locks by inserting the zippers together into the lock holes. Instructions, as well as warranty registration information are inside of the bag. The inside comes with expandable clips to keep your clothes in place, as well as zippered covers on each side. On an overseas trip, the bag did great. Everything was kept in place and even the outside of the bag didnt come with any dents or scratches, which I think speaks to the high-quality construction of the outer shell. I dont usually go for hardside luggage, as I find it bulky and unappealing, but this is different. As I mentioned, it feels and looks upscale. I like that it comes with a five year warranty, and after traveling with this bag I feel that Ill need to save up for the matching carry-on.
