Greater than one weekI love this so much. I have been using a mat for years, and never thought I would spend the money for a wool mat, as it wouldnt make any difference because it was the iron getting hot, not the mat. Boy was I ever wrong. It makes a world of difference. Every wrinkle or crease comes out so easily on this mat. I recommend this for everyone who needs to press quilting pieces. It is the best item I think I have bought in a really long time. Cuts the time in half! Love it!

Greater than one weekI love the wool ironing pads. I’m a quilter and deal with small (sometimes really tiny) pieces of fabric that need to be pressed quickly. Hardly worth getting out the ginormous ironing board and iron. So imagine my surprise when I found these wool ironing pads. They are the perfect size for small quick jobs. I purchased my first one about 3 years ago, it’s 13” x 18”, and 3/4” thick. I used it constantly. So much so that decided I need a new one. So I purchased this one. However, it’s not as durable as my old one or as dense. It measures 13.5” x 17” and 1/2 thick. Plus you can barely stick a straight pin into the old one because it’s so dense. Whereas a straight pin sticks in easily. I like the new one, but since I use my desk to place the pad on, I’m uneasy about using the new one by itself. I don’t think it’s thick or dense enough to use alone so I place it on top of the old one when I need to iron something, then under the old one to keep it from getting worn like the old one. Overall, I’m ok with the new one. But you might want to consider using 2 just to make sure the heat of the iron will not penetrate through to the surface you’re using. Just a word to users, in case you don’t already know, do NOT use your self-healing cutting board under the ironing pad. The heat from your iron will absolutely damage your cutting board and cannot be repaired. I recommend this wool pad, but consider buying 2 for the extra protection.

> 3 dayI gave this product to my Mom in law as a gift and she loves it!! She has shown it to all of her quilting friends and I expect they will be ordering their own. In fact, it is on my list of must have quilting accessories for my own quilting room. It is a top quality mat with smooth wool and no creases! Great product!!

Greater than one weekThis is my 3rd one that I have purchased, because I have a new custom ironing station and have the wool pressing pads lined up next to each other under the top ironing cover. They work great in providing a solid base for my pressing needs, especially with steam. The 3 stars for value for money is only because I needed to buy 3 of them to cover my top and that got to be pretty pricey.

Greater than one weekI have debated getting one of these, wondering if it was just another gimmick. The size of this one appealed to me as I have a small home/sewing area and this would fit great in space available. Tried it as soon as it arrived and i love it. The seams in my blocks pressed just beautifully. I noticed a great improvement with this as opposed to the ironing board. I will be recommending this to all my quilting friends.

> 3 dayI purchased this mat with some skepticism, thinking it might be another quilting fad gizmo that may or may not live up to the hype. I did research online options, found this one to be the best value for size and price out there. When it arrived I was impressed with the quality of the felted wool and the smoothness of the surface. After using it a few times, I am even more impressed. Enough so that I am looking to purchase another one, in a smaller size, to have right at my side when I am piecing quilt blocks. I use the large one on my big ironing board and find it really great for pressing pieced borders, large blocks (>12), and machine embroideries. I am in love with this mat!

> 3 dayIve seen my friends using wool mats and raving about them, so I decided to give it a try. Im super impressed! Ive had some stubborn wrinkles in my quilt squares and when I tried them on this mat (and with a shot of Best Press) they came OUT! I was going to buy a new iron (Rowenta). Nope, dont need a new iron with this mat. It does stink a little, but, eh, so does my husband, and I keep him around.
