I’ve been searching for a solution to streamline my sewing room. I came across this felt ironing mat on a search and was intrigued. I have had disappointing encounters with other creative supplies and approached it with some doubt and skepticism. The reviews were promising so I decided to give it a try. I’ve only had it a couple a days, but boy am I impressed! The size is great for ironing and assembling blocks, the surface is smooth and the pad is thick and substantial. My seams have never been so flat! Great investment and addition to my quilting studio!

I could hardly wait to try out my 100% New Zealand Wool Pressing Mat. I was NOT DISAPPOINTED! My 1/2 square triangle units pressed so flat and crisp that I did not need to use my tailors clap, as I usually do to get a good, flat seam on my quilt blocks. The small unit did not move on the pressing mat, and I got a very flat press on the diagonal seam. I was using a little steam, but found that I get just as good a press without steam. There is a slight odor, not uncommon for wet wool, that seems to diminish with use. Thank you for this product. I am beyond pleased.

Had been tempted to buy one of these for a long time, but the price always put me off. I finally succumbed after seeing all the great reviews and Im so glad I did! Wrinkles and creases just seem to vanish and its great to have set up near my machine when Im piecing. Has reduced the pressing time as both sides are done at once. Very pleased with the performance and have found it to be well worth the money.

I bought this size to make a small ironing station next to my machine as I was piecing log cabin blocks. It worked perfectly...I pressed each piece after sewing and misted, pressed and weighted each block when completed. I was very pleased with the results. This size fits nicely on a small, adjustable Lifetime table. If you are using steam, do not place it on wood, unless you protect the wood surface. I plan to use this often in our RV.

I wanted to love this wool pressing mat. It worked great for getting nice crisp fabric, and no noticeable odor from the mat. However, the mat sheds terribly all over the fabric, and it was almost like it imbedded into the material because no amount of using a fabric roller would remove the little wool fibers. After I had to redo my last sewing project due to all of the visible wool fibers stuck in the fabric I stopped using this mat. Now looking for something that truly wont shed.

i saw one locally but it wasn’t big enough so I checked online. I have now used it and it wonderful. The pressing mat is hard enough to get a good press ( quilter) and the heat seems to reflect back from the wool so it heats and presses from both sides. And its effective with several layers. I can highly recommend it and will be using my pressing mat daily. I wanted to add to this review, I have been using it a few days and have great results one with thicker seams it flattens my fabric really well. This is well worth the money!!!!

I found out about wool pressing pads at a quilting retreat recently. Reading reviews it seems like there is a wide variety of quality on the market. After using mine I was very impressed with how helpful it is in pressing my quilt blocks. It retains heat and is very flat and even. I used a little steam on mine (on top of a thermo cool fabric to protect my table) and had no issue with it transferring through or with wet sheep smell. That said I didn’t use a ton of steam or for very long. I would definitely recommend this brand mat.

I love this mat, I bought a 17 X 17 mat a couple of days prior to ordering this one. I loved the first one so much I ordered a second one to travel to retreats with and small enough to fit down the side of sewing bag without bending it. Great product and works just like they advertise. Suggestion to anyone out there wanting to try a mat, this is the one to try. Might be a little more expensive but worth every penny. I will never buy another brand of mat...

This is a 24” x 17” thick and dense wool ironing mat that doesn’t smell at all! It is large enough for my sewing projects. I’m very happy with this choice.

This works better than a full size ironing board & if you are in a quilting group, very easy to tote around. I have a larger one also!!
